Danilovsky maniac: biography, victims, photobot

"Danilovsky Maniac" is a famous Russian serial killer who was operating in 2004-2007. He is also called - "maniac with muddy eyes." The offender was never caught. Investigating authorities suspect that he committed 7 murders in the city of Cherepovets in the Vologda Oblast. Three victims were found at an abandoned construction site in the area of Danilova Street. That is why he received such a nickname. In this article we will talk about everything that is known about these crimes, about which versions the investigators put forward.

The victims

Danilovsky wasteland

Presumably, the "Danilovsky maniac" killed 7 people. In some cases, the motive for his crimes was sexual, in others it remained unidentified.

It is believed that the first victim of the “Danilov maniac” was 17-year-old Marina O. Perhaps, before that, he also committed murders. In February 2004, the girl left the house on Sovetsky Prospekt in Cherepovets and went to visit the parents of her young man, who sent her and them letters from the army. She decided to cut the road through a wasteland located on Danilova Street, and disappeared. Her search lasted a year and a half.

The foundation on the Danilovsky wasteland

In June 2005, 31-year-old Lyudmila M. left the house on Babushkina Street, going to Parkovaya Street to meet with her friend. They agreed to meet at 13.00. Like Marina, she disappeared without a trace in broad daylight.

In the same year, July 14, another murder occurred, stunned the whole Cherepovets. 19-year-old Svetlana S. walked through the same wasteland with her sister and friend to the city beach. She lagged a bit to adjust the strap on her sandals. The young people who walked with her went forward only a few meters. Hearing her scream, they rushed to run back, but found her already dead. Without outerwear and with a throat cut.

Terrible find

where did the maniac wield

If the previous victims disappeared without a trace, then the body of Svetlana was in the hands of investigators. They began to thoroughly investigate the murder. Soon nearby, the bodies of Marina and Lyudmila were discovered - in the concrete pit of the abandoned foundation of the police department building. Top women were littered with tires.

During a study of the foundation itself, the lair of the criminal was discovered. It was a cellar, on the walls of which were erotic drawings. It was then that it became known that the "Danilov maniac" was operating in the city. In Cherepovets, all journalists immediately began to call him that.

According to the results of the examinations, the 22-year-old Tatyana B. and the 17-year-old Tatyana M. on the street Milyutina, who was raped and strangled at the art school, were also considered to be victims of a maniac. The crimes were committed in September and December 2004. A murder weapon was also discovered. It was a home-made stranglehold made from a cable and two sticks.

The police collected genetic material from all the men who lived in the Danilovsky wasteland, but failed to find the criminal. Moreover, he hid for 2 years. Investigators suggest that he could change his place of residence.

Return

Orientation to the Danilovsky maniac

They again started talking about the “Danilov maniac” in 2007, when 17-year-old Natalya Z was abducted near the Oktyabrsky bridge. Her parents were fishing near the village of Lesnoye when the girl called, saying that she was already approaching them. As it was later established, she did not reach about 15 meters. When the father and mother started calling back, the phone was already off.

After the genetic examination, there was no doubt that the crime was committed by the same maniac. A few days later, police and volunteers found the girl strangled in the area of Zasheksinsky park. She was also raped.

Murder in 2011

Victim Svetlana F.

This turned out to be a single murder. Nothing indicated his other crimes for another four years, until Svetlana F. disappeared in November 2011.

At about 5 pm she called her young man, saying that she was on Batyushkova Street. When the guy arrived at the place, he did not find her. The girl’s corpse was found only after 7 months.

The appearance of the image robot

The photobot of the Danilovsky maniac

It was not possible to catch the criminal, although since 2005 there was a photobot of the "Danilovsky maniac". In Cherepovets, all police forces were cast in his search.

It was possible to make a description of the alleged offender when witnesses were discovered. This is a teacher and students at a correctional school in the area who saw a man portraying pornographic drawings on the school wall.

From their words, a compass sketch was made. Witnesses unanimously claimed that they remembered the suspect's strange eyes, which seemed cloudy, but his general appearance in memory was practically not preserved.

Criminal case

By 2008, the volume of the criminal case totaled 18 volumes, about two thousand people were interrogated, but this did not produce any results. Maria Cherepovets announced a reward of 1 million rubles for help in finding a maniac. However, it was not possible to find it so far.

According to some reports, he may also be involved in the murders of girls in 1999-2003. Presumably in 2010, he could have killed a woman named Elena. The crime was committed in Vologda.

Suspect Detention

In 2009, it became known that the "Danilov maniac" from Cherepovets was caught by a snapshot. The suspect was detained in the Vologda region.

The man was associated with a serial killer after his detention in the territory of a summer residence cooperative. He was charged with murder and rape. It turned out that outwardly he looked like a criminal whom the Vologda police had been looking for for several years. The media immediately began to report that the "Danilov maniac" from Cherepovets was caught.

The suspect turned out to be a 70-year-old resident of Veliky Ustyug. At the same time, law enforcement authorities noted that he looks much younger, physically strong. He taught physical education, with business trips he was constantly in Cherepovets. At the dacha in the Vologda region, he was detained after the murder of a 54-year-old cohabitant, with whom he lived for about 10 years. Allegedly, jealousy was the cause of the killing.

He immediately began to check for involvement in crimes in Cherepovets. Many then believed that the "Danilov maniac" was caught. The blood type of the suspect coincided. However, genetic examination revealed no matches.

It is worth noting that this was not the first time that law enforcement agencies hoped that they had caught a "Danilov maniac." In July 2008, a man was detained who attacked two girls in the area of the Salt Park in Cherepovets, trying to drag them into the bushes. The police detained him red-handed, but in this case, the genetic examination did not establish any coincidences.

Versions

Despite the fact that the offender acted only in the Vologda Oblast, his genotype was sent out throughout the country. However, no matches were found. On this basis, it was concluded that he did not leave the territory of the region.

Experts note that the criminal is experienced and prudent. He pre-calculated many points in order to avoid mistakes. For example, he killed with a makeshift stranglehold without using a belt or any other factory product.

Perhaps he himself worked in law enforcement. It is possible that he was fired. It is believed that hypersexuality pushed him to kill, moreover, he was in an inadequate condition if he drew pornographic drawings on the wall of the school. When sobering came to him, he seemed to be ashamed and hid the victims.

It is possible that the maniac is still alive. With age, there is less and less strength, this explains the fact that crimes are committed less frequently. At the same time, the researchers do not believe that he could be permanently stuck, since the person is clearly sick.
