Boris Ivanov was a native of Odessa. He was born on February 28, 1920. His father was engaged in plumbing, and his mother was a housewife. Boris Ivanov is an actor whose biography is certainly interesting and noteworthy. From a young age, the boy showed an increased interest in music and acting. He loved to visit the Odessa Opera House, whose performances were echoed in his memory for a long time. As a teenager, Boris Ivanov asked to work in the aforementioned Melpomene temple as an extras, and his request was granted. True, small responsibilities were assigned to him, and the boy dreamed of linking his life with the art of reincarnation. But for this it was still necessary to study.

Years of study

Boris Ivanov, whose biography is not without vivid moments and fateful meetings, after school he applied to the local theater school. The famous director Mikhail Tilker became his mentor.

Shortly before the start of World War II, the young man became a certified actor. On the graduation evening, scheduled for June 22, 1941, the newly minted lyceum, including Boris Ivanov, played a performance without spectators: there was a general mobilization announcement ...

To the front

A fighter battalion was created at the theater school, whose soldiers were supposed to identify saboteurs, and on July 7, 1941, the young actor Ivanov Boris Vladimirovich asked to the front. He went to re-training courses for commanding officers at the Military Academy of Logistics and Transport, which was located in Kharkov. After he was mobilized to the North-Western Front with the rank of lieutenant of the quartermaster service. Later, the actor heads the battalion headquarters and fights as an adjutant. The harsh everyday life of the war significantly reduced the size of the battalion in which Ivanov Boris Vladimirovich fought, and the regiment would be reorganized. In one of the battles, a graduate of the Odessa Theater School was seriously injured, and he spent a long time in hospitals.

The actor survived a clinical death, the doctors intended to amputate his arm, but nothing happened: he managed to neutralize the health threat.

After the hospital

The treatment has come to an end, and Boris Ivanov goes to Rybinsk on personal matters. However, on the train, the attackers steal money and documents from the actor: he has nothing to do but stay in the city. Here he serves for some time in the local temple of Melpomene.

A year before the end of the war, the actor goes to the capital and becomes a member of the troupe of the Mossovet Theater, on the stage of which he performed until his death.

Gradually, Boris Ivanov, whose photo began to decorate the posters of the above Melpomene temple, turned into an experienced and venerable lyceum. Boris Vladimirovich came to Soviet cinema, being already at a fairly mature age. The debut film for him was “The Night Passenger”, shot by Manos Zacharias in 1961, where the actor turned into the image of Georges Pradier. Despite the fact that in his life Ivanov was a charming and kind person, on the set the directors trusted him mainly to play negative characters.

His last work was a production called "Comedians", authored by Boris Shchedrin. He recalls the actor with particular warmth: “When we started working on the play, I did not realize that Boris Vladimirovich was seriously unwell. He was always met and escorted, fearing that without guardianship he simply could not. Back in 1981, Ivanov was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR.

The actor died on December 2, 2002. Boris Ivanov was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery of the capital.
