Croatian footballer Vida Domagoy is a good defender and quite a famous person. Attention is not only his career, but also his personal life. And, since the Croat is famous, it is worth telling about it in a little more detail.
Childhood and youth
The football player Vida was born, whose photo is presented above, in 1989, on April 29, in the city of Osijek. His father was a professional player, and played for the local club, as well as for Belišce. It was thanks to him that Vida began to engage in this sport.
At the age of 7 he was enrolled in the football school of the club “Unity Donji Mikhoilach”. There he studied football skills from 1996 to 2003.
Then, as a teenager, Domaga moved to a stronger youth team - in Osijek FC. Until 2006, he trained with other teenagers, and then moved to the main team. This was the beginning of his professional career. He spent another 4 years at FC Osijek, and during that time he played 90 matches, scoring 6 goals.
Relocation to Germany
Footballer Vida was quickly spotted by representatives of eminent European clubs. In 2010, he was invited to Bayer 04, and the Croat agreed. In the summer, he became part of the team.
But he failed to break into the main team. During that season, he played mainly in Europa League matches. As part of the Bundesliga, his debut took place in 2011. Then Bayer 04 won Wolfsburg 3-0. Domague replaced the 14th minute. That match was the only one for him in the German Championship.
In total, Vida played 9 meetings without scoring a single goal. Career in Bayer 04 did not work, and therefore he agreed to the proposal of Zagreb Dynamo and returned to his homeland. As part of the Croatian club, he spent one season, having played 43 matches and scoring 5 goals.
Career in Ukraine
In Croatia, the football player Vida did not stay long. In early 2013, he signed a contract with Dynamo Kyiv. He quickly joined the team, and already in March scored a goal against Vorskla in the 4th minute, which turned out to be victorious.
The next goal scoring by Domagoy happened a year later. But this again turned out to be a winning goal, besides in the Ukrainian Cup final. It was Vida who helped return the trophy to the Kievans, who had not won in this tournament for 7 years.
And the third goal in his career for Dynamo was victorious, but only in the national championship. Thanks to him, the people of Kiev pulled out an important victory from Shakhtar.
In the same season, Vida opened an account in European competitions. And again, his goal was decisive. In the 70th minute, the Croatian scored a head into the gate of “Aalborg”, which helped the Kiev team to get to the first place in the group.
Weed scored another decisive goal in 2015 on May 17. It was a game with Dnipro, and he sent the ball into the opponents ’goal at the very end of the meeting, in the 84th minute. It was the Croat who brought the Kiev team a victory in the Ukrainian championship, which became their first in the last 6 years.
Transfer to Turkey
In the summer of 2017, there were a lot of rumors according to which the player Vida should move to Turkey to play for Besiktas. Pretty quickly this information was confirmed. But the Croat went to Turkey not in the summer, but in the winter, having signed a preliminary contract.
Officially, the player Vida became a player in Besiktas on December 27, 2017. His first training session took place a week later. And the debut came on February 21. It was a match against FC Antalyaspor, which turned out to be victorious for Besiktas.

Domagoy has been speaking for his native Croatia since 2008. At first it was youth teams, and in 2010 he became a player on the main team. To date, he has played 65 matches and scored 3 goals.

But already in 2012, he took part in qualifying matches, after which the head coach included him in the national team to participate in the tournament. However, he entered the field in only one game - against Spain.
He was also in the application for the 2014 World Cup, held in Brazil, but he did not play a single match then.

Moreover, in a match against the Russian national team, it was Vida who, in the 100th minute, scored his head into the opponents' net, which brought the score to Croats (2: 1). Although the Russians equalized him to 2: 2, because of which a penalty shootout was awarded. In it, by the way, Vida also scored, cleverly scoring an 11-meter.
Post-match scandal
The game with Russia turned out to be successful for the Croats. Of course, the players could not celebrate this. In the wake of Vid’s emotions, with Ognen Vukoevich, who also played for Dynamo Kyiv (only for 7 years), they recorded a video. On it joyful guys are sitting in the locker room, Domagoy shouts: “Glory to Ukraine!”, And Ognen adds: “This victory is for Dynamo and for Ukraine! Croatia, go ahead! ”
A couple of days later, the Croat shocked the audience with a new video. On it, Vida drinks beer and shouts: “Glory to Ukraine! Belgrade, burn! ”, And then sings a Serbian song with Ivica Olic, coach of the national team.
FIFA considered these statements to be political. And for this, incidentally, threatens disqualification. Vida himself stated that there was nothing political in his cry, but apologized. In an interview with the Russia 24 channel, Domagoy, speaking in Russian, repented of a perfect mistake and apologized to the Russian people. And in the end, limited to a warning.
But Vukoevich was expelled from the delegation of the national team and fined $ 15,000.
Alcohol problems
Continuing to consider the biography of the football player Vida, I must say that his addiction to beer brought a lot of trouble.
One of the most high-profile situations occurred on the way to the Croatian Cup match, when Domagoy still played for Dynamo Zagreb. Then Vida allowed himself to open a can of beer on the bus. The coach immediately put him out of the bus for this, and the club issued a fine of $ 129,000.

The defender met a girl more than 5 years ago in a nightclub. They began a relationship, then young people lived in a civil marriage for a rather long period of time. They got married a little over a year ago - in the summer of 2017.
At that time they already had a rather mature son, David. By the way, it was with him that millions of football fans could see a football player after defeating the British and Russians. Vida was busy with his son right on the field.
