Perm is the largest and one of the oldest industrial centers of the Urals. Due to the mineral wealth of the Ural Mountains, the region has well-developed mining, processing and construction industries. Perm enterprises and plants occupy an important place in the structure of the Russian economy.
"Motovilikhinsky plants"
Public society is a complex of industries specializing in metallurgy, metalworking, and the production of weapons and ammunition. The company was founded by the Motovilikhinsky smelter, founded by V.N. Tatishchev in 1736. It became one of the first Perm plants. A century later, the copper mines were exhausted, and the factory workers switched to iron smelting, having built an open-hearth furnace unique to the Urals.
The company's activities are divided into three blocks:
- Casting and metal rolling.
- Production of drilling, road construction, oilfield equipment.
- Artillery systems.
The company is known as a manufacturer of mortars (portable and self-propelled), field and self-propelled artillery, MLRS, fire control vehicles.
PMK Perm Motors
A large association of design bureaus and factories in Perm, specializing in the development, assembly, maintenance of engines for aircraft, helicopters, space technology. In addition, PMK is engaged in metalworking, production of walk-behind blocks, spare parts for aircraft, tools, tooling, and non-standard equipment.
80 years ago, the production of piston aircraft engines began at the Motor Plant in Perm. By the end of the 50s, their possibilities were completely exhausted. In 1946-1949, design and experimental work was carried out to develop aircraft gas turbine engines. Perm designers began their creation closely in 1953, when P.A. headed OKB-19. Soloviev.
In 1960, under the leadership of Pavel Solovyov, the first serial double-circuit turbojet twin-shaft D-20P engine was created. His successful state trials approved the dual-circuit design as the main one in the domestic aircraft engine industry. Today, the PS-90 series motors form the basis of the complexβs products.
"Morion"
A major developer and manufacturer of communications equipment. The enterprise was established in 1957, corporatized in 1993. The Perm plant is engaged in the manufacture of complex scientific and technical products:
- power sources;
- block protection;
- integrated monitoring and control systems;
- propagation units of network synchronization signals;
- instrumentation;
- multiplexers;
- sets of accessories, tools.
Sibur-Khimprom
The joint-stock company is based on the basis of a gas processing plant (Perm), whose photo is impressive in its large size. The petrochemical giant was built in 1967, since then it has been repeatedly modernized and expanded. Today it is the largest Russian company producing foam polystyrene. In addition, Sibur-Khimprom produces:
- styrenes;
- ethylbenzenes;
- butyl alcohols;
- propylene;
- ethylhexanol;
- ethylene.
