There is an opinion that the name of the film should be directly related to the content of the picture, with the exception of film avant-garde. Mostly the name defines the main idea of ​​the film, becoming the starting point for everything that happens on the screen. But sometimes the name cannot be deciphered, even after watching the movie to the end. In such cases, a feeling of bewilderment remains. Fortunately, the 2015 series “Better Nothing” (reviews will not lie) is produced by the Russian Federation in 2015 and the USA melodramatic comedy of 1997 with the same name is a pleasant exception. However, the modern series of the same name produced in South Korea is also distinguished by a close connection of the name with its main idea and theme.

Victoria and her child temporarily find refuge with their son’s nanny. To ensure its existence, a spoiled beauty takes a job in a supermarket. And soon, to his great surprise, he made a career there. So, going through difficulties and hardships, she finds out the price of money, and love, and meanness. Despite the fact that the series “It Doesn’t Get Better”, the critics ’reviews dubbed another movie-tale, the audience liked the project of Semenov.

In the center of the story is the unrivaled Jack Nicholson, an actor who, according to many leading film critics, is able to pull almost any average movie to the proper level. In "It Never Happens Better," he created a multifaceted, surprisingly interesting character with a complex character, which led the actor to the absolutely deserved third Oscar. The main character, Melvin Yudella, has everything - phobias, comic habits, sharp quotes, drama of a loner who communicates only with a neighbor's dog. By the way, a dog named Verdell was played in turn by six dogs of the Brussels Griffon breed. Nicholson’s acting talent never ceases to be amazed, his beating charisma is striking, his character, no matter - positive or negative, invariably evokes the audience’s sympathy. A couple of Jack in this melodrama was Helen Hunt, and the duet with the actors turned out to be excellent.
The main female character in the film
The audience will certainly be imbued with sympathy for the waitress Carol Connelly. Helen Hunt played the role of a loving mother, accustomed to fearing everything in the world, but deadly tired of the void in her personal life. Her heroine is not ready to accept the twists of fate. Therefore, a woman does not want to let in a habitual and rather eccentric writer in her usual life. Two central characters seem to play cat and mouse. But in the end, two lonely souls still found each other.
The third is not superfluous
The character, who was embodied on the screen by Greg Kinner, helped the main characters understand each other and finally figured out themselves and their feelings. His hero - a sentimental gay artist Simon, loses almost everything at one moment, his life literally collapses overnight. But he and his dog become a catalyst in the ensuing and developing relationship of the heroes of Hunt and Nicholson. In addition to the three main characters, Carol's mother (Shirley Knight), Simon Frank's friend (Kyuba Gooding) and Vincent (Skeet Ulrich) turned out to be quite bright and colorful.
