Yura Movsisyan is an Armenian-American footballer, striker of the Armenian national team and striker of the Moscow Spartak. He is recognized as one of the most talented and promising strikers in Armenia. He is also one of the twenty most sought-after players of Russian modernity.
Before a football career
He was born in sunny Azerbaijan (Baku) on the second of August 1987 (according to the zodiac sign - Leo). Parents did not expect that their son would ever be called a triumphal striker. He himself was not immediately accustomed to the loud announcements of the announcers: "Yura Movsisyan scored!" The biography of his childhood (up to 12 years) is practically unknown, and the football player himself does not like to spread on this topic. However, we know that the first years of his life were hard enough, there was not enough money in the family. The main reason for emigrating to America is earnings.
Career
In 1999, Yura moved with his family to the United States. In America, the family’s financial affairs almost immediately went uphill. There Movsisyan joins the Pasadena school team (California). Having achieved considerable success at such an early age, he continues to develop his skills already as part of the college football team.
In 2006, he was noticed by local scouts and invited to the Kansas City club. Only during the period 2006-2007 he was able to raise the club to a new level. In total, he participated in 28 matches, scoring 5 goals. At the beginning of 2008, Yura Movsisyan transferred to the more successful Real Salt Lake club, where he scored 15 goals in 53 games over the season.
At the same time, Movsisyan has his own agent - Patrick McCabe. It was he, seeing the prospects of the player, decided to find him a club in Europe. In 2010 Movsisyan gets Randers (Denmark). It starts very well: 17 goals were scored in 35 matches.
Kazan “Rubin”, Kiev “Dynamo”, club “Krasnodar” noticed the player. With a transfer of 2 million euros, the latter managed to get Movsisyan. And the Kuban did not fail. Forward spent 50 matches for the team, scored 23 goals. Recognized as the best player in the club in 2011.
Team game
Having two citizenships (Armenia and the USA), Yura Movsisyan decided to give preference to historical roots. The debut game for the national team of Armenia took place in early August 2010. Only 15 minutes after the start of the match, he was injured and was forced to leave the field. However, this did not stop his fans from holding a sign saying "Jura, welcome home!" until the end of the game.
The first goal in the Armenian national team was scored on September 7 of that year against the team from Macedonia during the qualifying rounds of Euro 2012. Great hopes are laid on Yura Movsisyan, because he is rightfully considered the main striking force of the national team.
The game for Spartak
At the end of November 2012, information appeared in the media that a medical examination of Yura Movsisyan was underway at Spartak. "Spartacus" immediately denied this information. However, already on December 7, the player’s transfer from Krasnodar to the Moscow club was officially announced. His fee was one and a half million euros per year, the contract was concluded for 4.5 years.
At the beginning of March 2013 he made his debut and immediately made a hat-trick. Further, he helped achieve an equal score in the match with the Swiss “St. Gallen” at the end of August 2013. November 10, 2013 in the battle against the “Zenith” makes another hat-trick. However, the knee injury aggravated during the game casts doubt on his continued participation in the championship. Having played three more matches, he is forced to go to the USA to conduct the operation. In the spring of 2014, he fully recovered and returned to the field.

Despite its young years, Yura Movsisyan has already won a number of prestigious awards of world and national level:

Personal life
Yura Movsisyan and his wife have been together for five years. The wedding took place when the striker was 19 years old.
