The meaning of the word is known to many - this is the high temperature of the surrounding air, in other words - unbearable heat. However, this term has another meaning, which is less often put into it. The meaning of the word “hell” and its synonyms will be discussed in this article.

In the Orthodox tradition, it is called hell, tartar, hell fire. In fact, in almost all religions and faiths the meanings of this concept are similar. Hell is the place where sinners (their souls) are tormented in intense fire.
