early years
Actor Yuri Gusev, whose biography is considered in our material, was born on February 25, 1936 in the city of Moscow. A boy was born in the family of a hereditary soldier. From an early age, the guy was subjected to strict education. For this reason, our hero did not even have to think about how to develop his artistic inclinations.
After graduating from high school in the capital, Yuri Gusev was enrolled in the shipbuilding college at the Department of Electromechanics. Surprisingly, the profession pleased the guy who, by the way, always dreamed of an actor's career. At the end of the technical school, the young man was hired by one of the Moscow research institutes. However, Yuri Gusev was not destined to stay here for a long time. Indeed, in 1955, he was called up for military service in the army.
After serving three years, our hero decided to return to work in the specialty. Having replaced several institutions, the young engineer managed to get the post of head of the laboratory of a research institute. However, having occupied such an honorable post, Yuri Gusev realized that such a fate was not for him. He quit his job, which he devoted more than one year to his life, and decided to become a professional artist.
How did Yuri Gusev become an actor?
In 1961, our hero applied for admission to the Shchepkin Theater School. Soon, the guy was enrolled in a prestigious university in the evening department. At the same time, Gusev retained the post of head of the research laboratory, which operated at the Institute of Rheumatism of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences.
The aspiring actor graduated from the Schukin School in 1966. Almost immediately, Yuri was enrolled in the troupe of the Moscow City Council Theater. On the stage of this creative platform, the artist played many wonderful roles. However, later he decided to completely focus on filming in films.

Actor Yuri Gusev had a courageous character and a strong, unyielding character. Perhaps that is why Soviet directors began to trust him in the roles of military personnel and officials. Basically, the actor portrayed negative characters on the screen, which he did best.

Our hero was a real star of the Soviet screen. However, few people know that, despite his high status and the presence of numerous fans, the artist did not have happiness in his personal life. In his entire life, Gusev has never officially married. Although in 1969 he had a daughter named Tatyana. The mother of the latter was Maria Kuznetsova, who at that time held the post of announcer of the All-Union Radio. Young people failed to create a full-fledged family.
It is worth noting that Tatyana - the daughter of Yuri Gusev - decided to follow in her father's footsteps. At first, she appeared on the screens in the images of secondary characters. Nowadays, the actress can increasingly be seen on leading roles in popular domestic TV shows.

Unfortunately, Yuri Gusev passed away at an early age, before he reached his 55th birthday. To the premature death of the famous artist was a tragic accident. In the winter of 1991, during the Epiphany frosts, the shooting of the film "Deafness" was held in Uzbekistan. In one scene, the actor slipped on ice and received a serious injury - a fracture of the base of the skull - incompatible with life. Death came almost instantly. The body of Yuri Gusev was rushed to the capital, where the artist was buried in the Khovansky cemetery.
