Itches in the groin

Itching in the groin is an unpleasant sensation that occurs for various reasons and affects the skin and mucous membranes. Serious diseases such as, for example, jaundice and liver and kidney pathologies can cause itching in the groin area. In such diseases, nitrogen compounds are excreted through the sweat glands, which provokes a desire to scratch oneself in those places where sweating is the most profuse.

Such itching can occur if you have problems with the thyroid gland, as well as in the case of infection with parasites.

But the simplest reason why it itches in the groin is the banal neglect of personal hygiene requirements.

Washing with a saturated solution of potassium permanganate in dark pink also helps. After this procedure, you need to wipe the itchy area dry and treat it with Sinaflan ointment. Even if the itching has passed after the first application of the ointment, continue to treat it with the inguinal area for a few more days.

If the genitals itch, then this usually means that there is an infection in the urogenital system of the man or woman. Most often, the cause of this itching is chlamydia, candidiasis, ureaplasmosis, gonorrhea and other sexually transmitted diseases. Moreover, a significant increase in itchy sensations, caused by "bad" diseases, is noted in the evening, after bath and after having sex. Often, itching is accompanied by redness and swelling of the genital organs. In men, it most often extends to the urethra, the external genitalia and is often accompanied by rashes (condylomas).

Itching caused by thrush and other infections should be treated with medications prescribed by your doctor, and soda baths will help to make you feel better. It is undesirable to wash itchy places with soap, after bathing, do not forget to moisten the entire infected area with baby cream.
