Kristina Yanda began her creative career even when nothing foreshadowed the fall of the socialist camp. However, some of her works were shown to the general public only after the collapse of the Soviet Union, when Poland became a truly independent country. But they always said about this actress that she had nothing to be ashamed of her previous works: she never participated in the creation of flat communist agitation. She played in the theater and cinema. Her work was appreciated by critics and a wide audience. The Polish actress has been awarded many national awards. Studying and starting a career
Kristina Janda saw the light in the small Polish town of Starachowice. This happened on December 18, 1952. A girl from childhood dreamed of becoming an actress. Therefore, after receiving a certificate of secondary education, she did not think for a long time what university to enter. Already in 1975, she successfully completed her studies at the State Higher Theater School in Warsaw. As is often the case with movie stars, Christina began her career with theatrical stage. After participating in the cult film "Man of Marble" and receiving awards, the actress did not remain forgotten. Invitations fell on her. First, the actress was embodied in Azu "On the Silver Planet." A year later (in 1978), she played in the film "Without Anesthesia." It so happened that she starred in several films at once. So, in 1980, four films were released immediately with her participation: “Man of Iron”, “Golem”, “War of the Worlds” and “Conductor”. She played the protagonist in the film "Kindergarten teacher." Her last known role was the grandmothers of Melania in the film “Mrs. Dulsky”. The film "Black Thursday. Yanek Vishnevsky fell ”remained almost unnoticed in the world. But in Poland he made a lot of noise. After all, the film describes the events of the workers' protests of the Gdansk workers in December 1970, which were suppressed by the authorities by force. Then two workers died. All the characters in the film are real people. Director Anthony Krause tried to recreate life in what was then Poland, as flowing in two different dimensions: a simple family from Gdansk and officials from party offices could not meet anywhere except on the street during the protests. Yanda starred in Black Thursday. But at the stage of editing it turned out that her vision of the situation does not coincide with the director’s concept. Christina Yanda proved herself not only as a beautiful actress. She tried herself in the role of director. She owns the films "Ladies and Hussars", "Lark" and "Male-Female". The actress was married twice. In 1974, she married the Polish actor Andrzej Severin. From this marriage, she has a daughter, Maria. The actress divorced her husband in 1979. Two years later, she married with the famous cameraman Edward Klosinsky. The couple had two sons - Andrzej and Adam. In early 2008, the second husband of the actress died. Now the widow lives in the small town of Milanowek near Warsaw.
