The name Sharon Carter is well known to devoted fans of the Marvel superhero universe, especially those who love stories about Captain America. The character is in kinship with Peggy Carter, another popular heroine who worked with Cap during World War II. Sharon works for a special organization, Sch.I.T., whose main goal is the fight against crime. In comics and films, the heroine was repeatedly addressed by her code name - Agent 13.
In the original story, Sharon and Peggy are sisters (younger and older), and they had a romantic relationship with Captain America. A little later, due to a temporary paradox, it was decided to change the kinship of the girls - so they became a niece and aunt.
Appearance story
In the creation of the character Sharon Carter participated Stan Lee, Jack Kerby and Dick Ayers. Her first appearance was in the 75th issue of "Disturbing stories."
In one of the comic books about Captain America (No. 237), Sharon Carter suddenly dies. Despite this, they decided to revive it in issue 444.
Biography
Sharon's parents are Harrison and Amanda Carter. The heroine was very close to her aunt, Peggy (Margaret's full name), who had once fought alongside Steve Rogers. It was from her that the young Sharon also learned many stories about the brave Captain America, inspired by her subsequent work as a special agent Shch.I.T.a.
Her first mission was to capture a cylinder with a powerful explosive, codenamed "Inferno 42". During its execution, Sharon met with Captain America, who, due to the strong similarity of the girl with her aunt, mistook her for Peggy. A little later, he saved her mercenaries and at the same time prevented the seizure of explosives.
The collaboration of the Captain and Sharon Carter continued, while her true identity remained classified. During the execution of the next mission, feelings flared up between the heroes, which then turned into a real romantic relationship. After the Fourth Sleeping One was destroyed, the leadership of S.H.I.T.a allowed Agent 13 to reveal his real name to Steve Rogers.
After some time, Carter was entrusted with the task of maintaining communication between the Shch.I.T.om and the New York police. At the rally, Sharon became one of the victims of a special type of gas that was developed by Dr. Faustus. At the time of the mass abduction, the girl managed to activate an explosive device built into a special suit. Thus was shown the death of Agent 13 and the completion of its history.
The return of the character Sharon Carter was sudden - readers revealed a completely different interpretation of the story that occurred at the rally. It turned out that the death of Agent Carter was rigged and planned by Nick Fury. At some point, unforeseen difficulties arose, and Sharon was left without any support on the side of the enemy. After that, the girl sided with the Red Skull, but was soon found by Cap and returned home.
History after return
Despite everything, Sharon was still obsessed with Fury's revenge for betraying her. When she heard the news of Nick’s death, she decided to get inside Shch.I.T.a, where she was discovered by other agents. In an attempt to escape, Carter took advantage of the energy portal and ended up on fascist territory during World War II. Already on the spot, she met Nick Fury, who revealed to her the truth of his "staged" death and spoke about the motives behind this decision.
After all she heard, Sharon agreed to help Fury in his escape. Together, they deal with agents who want to destroy the portal, and manage to teleport.
21st Century Character Story
As a result, Sharon rejoined Shch.I.T.u and even managed to be a leader. After that, she received the post of liaison officer and began to engage in surveillance and transmission of the actions of Steve Rogers. Further collaboration between Captain and Agent Carter became the Winter Soldier affair.
After the events of the Civil War, Dr. Faustus and the Red Skull were able to gain control of Sharon's mind. When a sniper shot Rogers, the girl inflicted 3 additional shots on him, and then she forgot what had happened. Memories returned to her much later, thanks to the intervention of the daughter of the Red Skull. She also learned that Tony Stark intended to view the body of the deceased Captain America as a “specimen” that could help get the Serum formula. Carter could not endure this and left the ranks of Sch.I.T.a.
Sharon was ready to commit suicide, but at the very last moment she found out about her pregnancy. Her mind was still under enemy control, so when the other Marvel characters, Natasha and Sokol came after her, she was ordered to attack them. After that, Sharon went to the base of Faustus, where they also held the captive Bucky Barnes. He was instructed to kill Agent Carter, but he broke the order and shot the Doctor.
Soon Natasha and Sokol entered the base - they managed to divert the enemy’s attention to themselves and give Bucky the opportunity to deal with the guards. Then the villains again took advantage of their control over Sharon Carter and ordered her to stop Barnes. The girl knocked out Bucky with an electroshock pistol, and then climbed with him aboard the ship. At the last moment, Sharon managed to throw the captive off the ship, explaining to Faustus that the only way they could get rid of the chase.
Secret Avengers
After his resurrection, Steve Rogers took over as CEO of Sch.I.T.a. Under his leadership, a team of Secret Avengers was created, which included Sharon and other famous Marvel characters.
Later, the girl participated in the battle against Baro and Baron Zemo, where she fought alongside Captain America. It is believed that Sharon Carter sacrificed her life to save the Earth from the invasion of Dr. Arnim Zola. It all looked as if the girl had died in a gigantic explosion. In fact, Sharon survived, all this time she was held captive by Zola.

Sharon is perfectly prepared physically and owns various martial arts. She is also trained in computer programming, espionage secrets and can handle any firearm.
Differences in the history of the alternate universe of Ultimate

Together with her partner, the girl is engaged in the investigation and prevention of social violations related to illegal cases of abnormal mutations. Because of this work, her paths constantly intersect with Spider-Man.
Once she was at the place where Spider and Doctor Octopus fought, and a little later her detachment discovered a secret laboratory responsible for experiments on Sandman. During the events unfolding in the Clone Saga, Sharon helps with the evacuation of local residents; in Goblin's Death, a girl talks to Miss Marvel about the murder of the Green Goblin.
The plot of Marvel Mangaverse

As for the events of What If, the following happens here: Steve Rogers receives an offer to lead S.H.I.T., and Bucky Barnes becomes Captain America. Sharon begins to feel for Bucky. The three of them are trying to get into the HYDRA base to capture Baron Zemo. The battle ends with the death of Bucky. Later, during a funeral, Agent Carter condemns Rogers. In her opinion, it was Steve who was guilty of turning Bucky into a weapon of war and met his death.
