Russian midfielder Igor Kireev

Igor Kireev is a Russian footballer who currently plays for Rostov. Soon he will be 25 years old, and he will enter the most optimal stage of football development. Igor Kireev acts as a right midfielder and right winger, but can also be used as a central striker.

Carier start

Igor Kireev was born on February 17, 1992 in the Russian city of Zheleznogorsk, where he began to play football. However, there were no prospects there, so already at the age of 12, Igor went through a viewing in the Moscow Spartak, where he was received. For four years he played for youth squads, and in 2009 made his debut in the Spartak double. Igor Kireev spent 19 matches in the first season for the double, scoring two goals, in the next two seasons he also received enough playing practice, playing 46 more matches and scoring seven goals. However, for the first team in all this time he had only one match, so in 2012 he was given to Rostov, who also regarded this player as a reservist.

Career at Rostov

If in the double of “Spartak” Igor Kireev (the football player who was a pupil of this club) received enough playing practice, then in the double of “Rostov” the situation worsened. In his first season, he entered the field only eight times, and in the second - 13, but in the second he played only half of the season. The club management decided that it would be better to rent the young player to see what he is capable of. So, in the winter of 2014 Kireev ended up at Spartak, but not from Moscow, but from Nalchik. There he spent 12 matches, scored three goals and made a good impression. In the summer of that year, he was sent on loan to Perm Amkar, where he started off pretty well. He entered the field 15 times, scoring two goals, but after that he received the most serious injury to a football player - a rupture of the cruciate ligaments. As a result, he was treated for six months, having undergone a complex operation in Germany.

Current status

Returning to Rostov, Kireev made his debut in the main team, replacing just one minute. After that, he was in reserve all the time, but he was never called to the field again. In the current season, the situation has begun to change little by little - Igor has already played 11 matches, and almost everything started in the starting lineup. He even made his debut in the Champions League, coming on as a substitute in the qualifying match against Anderlecht, and then finding himself in the starting lineup for the group stage match against Atlético. So, perhaps, in a short time Kireev will play on a qualitatively new level.
