Carp breeding

Carp is a special type of carp. The history of its artificial cultivation goes back into the millennia. Breeding carp can be a good business for the owner of a suburban piece of land. This fish grows and multiplies quickly, is quite unpretentious, it is sometimes called the “water pig” because it is fed very quickly. And, besides, most people will be able to start this business, since it is not so difficult. It is also worth noting that of all the fish, it is carp that most successfully reproduces “in captivity”. Its quantity depends on the size of the reservoir, whether natural or artificial.

It is known that carp breeding in a pond on a personal plot is quite an acceptable thing. In such waters - shallow, deeply warmed - carp lives well. It is noticed that in small pools this fish reproduces faster, but exists longer. This is explained by the fact that, at a shallow depth, carp spends much less energy to find food there. In addition, the owner of a small reservoir is much easier to care for this fish.

Before starting carp farming in your home garden, you first need to prepare a pond. If it already exists, then the task is simplified. But if for this purpose an artificial reservoir was created, which was later filled with "sterile" water, then it is too early to launch carp in such an environment. Before this, you need to wait a few days - microorganisms should appear in this artificially created environment. Such a process can be accelerated. To do this, for example, you can lower a large bundle of grass or several buckets from a neighboring reservoir into the water of the reservoir.

For the convenience of caring for fish, carp breeding can be carried out in special cages - that is, bags made of latex nylon mesh, most often trapezoidal or rectangular. Such devices are attached to special floating frames made of boards to which floats are attached - empty metal containers. Their average volume is from one hundred to two hundred liters, however, it directly depends on the size and volume of the charge.

By lowering such devices into the water, you can begin to stock them. For this, it is better to use year-old carps. Next, you need to solve the problem of aeration and lighting of the cage.

This is a pretty convenient way to grow fish. However, carp breeding in cages is a process that is only partially controlled, because external factors affect it - that is, environmental temperature, weather conditions. It is more efficient to grow in special pools. They need to aerate the water, pump it and drain the pollution. They can be placed wherever there is an opportunity to quickly fill them with liquid. Aeration can be performed by any compressor, even a vacuum cleaner. The pool can be built from almost any material - wood, bricks, etc. It can be stocked even in early spring, subject to the only condition - this tank must be closed from above, insulated.

If you decide to place carp in your pond from another pond, then first equalize the temperature of the water so that it is at the level of the pond where the fish were brought from. Feeding: earthworms, larvae, steamed grain. By the way, the volume of grain should not exceed five percent of the total diet. However, you can feed and feed. This fish has an excellent appetite.

Keep in mind that in extreme heat, the water level in a body of water begins to fall. But that's nothing - in such weather, the oxygen level in the water drops sharply. The first sign that the carp does not have enough space, air - it pops up and as if swallows air. And the lack of oxygen in the water can cause fish in the pond to begin to die out en masse.

Fishing should be carried out in the fall, since it is likely that after severe cold weather, the carp under the ice will not be enough oxygen. To frozen water on the surface of the reservoir quickly melted in the spring, it is advisable to sprinkle it with peat, sand or just plain earth. The earlier the fish is released into the reservoir in spring, the more weight it will gain by autumn. Carp spawns in places where there is shallow water and thickets of algae.

Based on all this, we can conclude: the breeding of carp at home is not only possible, but also quite profitable.
