Kudryashov Dmitry - the hope of Russian boxing

Russian land has always been famous for heroes. There are legends about the strength and courage of Russian men, moreover, they are quite justified, because today there are those guys who are strong both physically and mentally. One of such truly Slavic heroes can be considered the rising “star” of Russian boxing named Dmitry Kudryashov.

Volgodonsk talent

Respected today by many boxing experts and spectators, the fighter was born on October 26, 1985 in the city of Volgodonsk, Rostov Region. Studied Kudryashov Dmitry in high school number 22, where he joined the sport.

However, at the beginning of his sports career, the guy was engaged in karate, and at the age of 13 he came to boxing. His first coach was Nikolai Timofeev, who worked at the Olympus-2 sports club.

Amateur Sports Achievements

For four years, Dmitry Kudryashov boxed directly in Rostov, speaking for the Labor Reserves club. During this time, he was able to repeatedly win city and regional competitions. In parallel with boxing, Dima is actively training in hand-to-hand combat. In 2008, a young man was drafted into the army, and he undergoes military service in the city over the name Kalach-on-Don. At the same time, he does not give up playing sports in general and martial arts in particular.

2010 was marked for the athlete by the awarding of the title of master of sports in hand-to-hand combat.

In 2011, taking part in the Class A competition “Spartak Cup”, which took place in Krasnodar, the fighter wins the first place and is awarded the title of master of sports in boxing.

Kudryashov Dmitry biography

Unfortunately, looking back, it can be argued that very often, due to the bias of the judges, Dmitry Kudryashov could not win various amateur tournaments. That is why the amateur career of a guy does not replete with many titles. In total, in the amateur ring, the fighter spent 150 fights (he lost only in 12 fights), after which he decided to switch to professionals.

The road to professionals

July 30, 2011. The village of Kushchevskaya. Opponent is a fighter from Ukraine named Alexander Ohrei. Kudryashov's victory in the third round by knockout. This is how one can characterize the first professional fight of Volgodonsk talent at a high level. After the debut, Dmitry Kudryashov, whose biography is not quite typical for an ordinary boxer, spent 4 more fights, thanks to which in October 2012 he was able to enter the ring in order to win the WBC title of the CIS champion and Slavic countries. And I must say that he succeeded. Kudryashov defeated his opponent from Uzbekistan and took the belt to himself.

Russian champion nicknamed "Sledgehammer"

In 2013, Dmitry defends his title, and already in a fight with Prince George Akrong, a representative of Ghana was knocked out, which allowed him to become a Russian world champion according to UBO. Yes, many will say that this belt is far from the most prestigious, but still it is a champion. In October 2013, Kudryashov submitted another peak. This time, Dima became the best fighter in the world according to GBU. And the rival in that fight was much more serious - Barbadosan Sean Cox, who, incidentally, was once an official contender for the WBA title. However, this did not become an obstacle for Dmitry. Already in the second round, a native of the island of Barbados was knocked out.

In 2014, Dmitry Kudryashov, whose photo does not leave the covers of many sports magazines, also conducts quite successful battles. During this period, he defeats Lubos Sud from the Czech Republic, Ivica Bachurin from Croatia, Julian Ilie from Romania, as well as the true legend of world boxing Juan Carlos Gomez. Moreover, in order to knock out the Cuban, Kudryashov took only 19 (!!!) seconds.

On May 22, 2015, a native of Volgodonsk entered the ring against the Namibian Meroro and knocked him out, thereby defending his title.

First defeat

Kudryashov’s next rival was Nigerian Olanrevaju Durodole. To the great disappointment of the entire fan sector of the Russian, this African fighter became the stumbling block about which Kudryashov Dmitry Aleksandrovich, a boxer with brilliant prospects, suddenly “stumbled”.

The duel between the two fighters took place on November 4, 2015. The champion fight was very spectacular and full of various technical actions. The confrontation itself turned out to be quite fleeting and in many ways sensational, as Dmitry lost by technical knockout in the second round. Although in the first three minutes Kudryashov perfectly hit the left side Nigerian in the head, causing him to slow down significantly. But even despite such a local success of the Russian fighter, Olanrevaju continued to move forward and carry out his attacks. As a result, in the third minute of the second round, as a result of the attack, the applicant for the title achieved what he wanted - the referee stopped the fight, thereby registering an early and unexpected victory for many analysts and fans of Durodole, thanks to which he took away the WBC Silver champion belt in the heavy weight category from the Russian .
