Foot fungus: symptoms

Foot fungus, the symptoms and features of which we will consider, in dermatology is one of the most common diseases. It is associated with damage to the skin. Statistics say that the fungus of the feet mainly torments men. Women suffer from it much less.

What is the reason for this? The reason is not only in physiology, but also because, as a rule, representatives of the stronger sex wear only closed shoes. What is bad closed shoes? Yes, because there is too little air in it at the feet - this contributes to the reproduction of various kinds of microbes. Also note that in closed shoes the feet sweat a lot. Note that in people with good immunity, the fungus of the foot almost never appears.

The fungus on the legs, the symptoms of which we are considering, appears unexpectedly. Its first signs include slight redness, as well as peeling of the skin. The greatest discomfort is felt in the space between the fingers. The foot fungus, the symptoms of which we are considering, can be very severe. With it, large blisters can appear on the skin. Cracks also appear on the skin. Violation of the integrity of the skin becomes the cause of the release of fluids.

With severe symptoms, there is a high probability that the disease will return even after it is completely cured.

In severe cases of the disease, damage occurs not only to the skin, but also to the nail plates. In this case, the nails become abnormal in color, get fat, become unusually strong. Untimely treatment may cause the foot fungus, the symptoms of which we are considering, to spread to any other parts of the patient’s body.

Common symptoms for foot fungus are:

- destruction of the skin and blisters;

- peeling and cracks;

- itching, severe burning;

- discomfort between the fingers.

It is worth noting that interdigital infection is the most common type of fungus described.

This infection has the following features:

- with it, a specific, but weak smell may appear;

- the cover between the fingers becomes soft, thin and very pale. It becomes very smooth to the touch;

- with interdigital infection, various indentations on the skin can be observed. Their appearance occurs along with peeling and cracking;

- treatment should be timely, since any bacterial infection can get into the affected area . It can be more dangerous and unpleasant than the fungus of the foot several times;

- Over time, the interdigital infection will make the skin thick and very dense. After that, it (the skin) will literally decompose. With the wrong treatment, nail damage can occur? What could happen to them? They can become loose and even fall away;

- most often both legs are affected immediately.

The foot fungus, the symptoms of which we are considering, may also be associated with vesicular fungal infection. There are not so many cases of infection.

This infection appears unexpectedly and, as a rule, develops very quickly. With it, under the affected skin there are areas within which there is fluid. The first blisters almost always appear on the back of the foot. Less often, they can be found in the interdigital space, on the heel, on the sole itself. In most cases, this infection appears after the initial infection. Spots appear on the skin between which peeling can be observed. This infection, if improperly treated, can also develop into a bacterial infection.

Before treatment, it is recommended to consult a doctor. There are many antifungal agents on sale, but not all of them are good and really effective. Doctors often prescribe a drug called β€œLysol” - it has long established itself as a reliable remedy for many varieties of foot fungus. However, it is worth noting that only an experienced doctor will be able to choose an effective drug. Self-diagnosis and improper treatment will only complicate the course of the disease.
