Actor Oleg Lyubimov grew up in a prosperous Moscow family. As the oldest child, he was entrusted with the patronage of his younger brother and sister. The whole family consisted of six people: father, mother, grandfather, two sons and a daughter. The actor’s father worked all his life as a designer at the P.O. Sukhoi Experimental Design Bureau, and developed the domestic military aircraft industry. Mom graduated from the Philological Institute and was fluent in English and French languages and literature, worked as a translator.
Both brothers inherited mathematical abilities from their father, and Oleg Petrovich Lyubimov enrolled in an astronomical circle at the Moscow Palace of Pioneers. There, the teenagers were noticed by teachers of the TYUM (Theater of the Young Muscovite). Everything happened unexpectedly.

The future actor Oleg Lyubimov, along with a stately and handsome friend, without suspecting anything, went to classes in an astronomical circle. At this time, the theater-goers went "hunting" - to catch the boys and attract to their studio. Oleg’s friend was immediately taken into circulation, and the actor himself, in his words, was put into a “load”. Thus, without any competition, the future actor Oleg Lyubimov took a theatrical path.
The young man liked the new life, the guys put on their own performances, Oleg played in the play U. Saroyan “My heart is in the mountains”, E. Albee in “The Ballad of the Dull Zucchini”, in “Ivan” by V. Bogomolov and many others.
In the same period, the young man tried his hand at the Maly Theater, where he participated in productions such as "The Eldest Son", "Morning Fairy" and others. After graduating from school, the actor Oleg Lyubimov decided to first pay back the debt to his homeland, then only get a profession. In those years, all students served in the army, and Lyubimov was no exception. The young man was sent to Sakhalin, where, incidentally, Anton Pavlovich Chekhov himself (his favorite author) was on the Russky Island.
Oleg Lyubimov still remembers this wonderful place where the sky with its color resembles Roerich's canvases. If at first the young man considered the artist to be a dreamer, now now he has personally witnessed the realism of the author of famous paintings. The sky really was a deep blue, not the same color as in Moscow, and the color changed every fifteen minutes depending on where the sun was moving.

Returning to his native land, the young man submits documents to GITIS to the directing department and enters the course of Peter Fomenko. It was a legendary band created in 1988. After graduation, students decided to unite under the leadership of Peter Naumovich Fomenko. Fortunately for them, in 1993, a new theater was born by decree of the mayor of Moscow.
Lyubimov Oleg Petrovich entered the theatrical skeleton, which was replenished twice with graduates of the "Fomenki". As a director, Lyubimov almost did not stage performances, but was a lighting designer in the productions of “Wolves and Sheep”, “Vladimir of the Third Degree”, “Twelfth Night”, the musical designer of the performances of the director Zhenovach on Malaya Bronnaya.
As an actor Oleg Lyubimov played Man in pince-nez, that is, Chekhov himself, in the play "Three Sisters", the Captain and Teacher in "One Absolutely Happy Village" and so on.
