Kobzar Alexander is a famous figure in the theatrical environment of Ukraine. Unfortunately, his popularity does not extend beyond the borders of his native country. Brief curriculum vitae
Kobzar Alexander was born in Kiev. But soon his family moved to the town of Obolon, Kiev region. In this city, the future actor spent almost all his childhood, and then his family moved to Nizhyn, Chernihiv region. It was there that Alexander first became interested in theater.
Alexander planned to enter a pedagogical university, but one day he was invited to participate in the production of a local school of culture. The young man liked it so much that after a while he got to become a student at the Kiev Theater Institute. Karpenko-Kary. Kobzar received his acting diploma in 2000 and immediately entered the directing department of the same institute.
For some time, Alexander Kobzar worked in one of the Donetsk theaters, then in the Nezhinsky Theater. In 2004, he managed to get into the creative team of the Kiev Academic Drama and Comedy Theater on the left bank of the Dnieper. Kobzar works there to this day.

The actor began acting in films since 2006. His first role is the role of a German sniper in the Russian film “Second Front”. In addition to Kobzar, such movie stars as Alexei Serebryakov, Alexander Dyachenko and Alexei Chadov took part in the film .

Then there was a whole series of little-known films: Madhouse, Seventh Heaven, Queen's First Rule, Under the Sign of the Virgin. In 2009, Kobzar appears in the melodrama "Attraction", where the main roles are played by Valentin Gaft and Olga Krasko. Then the actor gets the supporting role in the criminal action movie "Theft Rules" with Ivan Zhidkov in the title role.
Also, Alexander Kobzar played the role of security chief in the drama “I won’t say”, where the main roles were played by Lisa Boyarskaya and Maxim Matveev.
Perhaps another notable role in the movie for Kobzar is the role of Georgy Shevtsov in the film “Match” with Sergei Bezrukov. Stars such as Elizabeth Boyarskaya and Ekaterina Klimova were also involved in this picture.
The series "Nikonov and Co."
In 2015, Kobzar transgressed to shoot in the TV series "Nikonov and Co." The film will begin showing in the fall on the ICTV channel.
In the center of the plot is an investigator who is disabled. But meanwhile, he copes with his duties perfectly and is even brilliant in a sense. Alexander Kobzar is the actor who got the main role in this film.
When Kobzar was asked whether he had much in common with his character, the actor asked that they were practically not connected. He does not have mathematical and detective abilities, but his character is really complicated. To fulfill this role, Alexander had to learn a lot of text and spend 16 hours on the set in a wheelchair, which ended in huge calluses on his hands.
The actor clearly shares the work in the cinema and in the theater. The first is income. The second - helps, in his opinion, to grow in a professional sense.
Theater life
Alexander Kobzar, whose biography is inextricably linked with the theater, played many roles: for example, in such performances as “Spectators are not allowed to play!”, “Cyrano de Bergerac”, “Lolita” and “The Last Hero”.
Kobzar saw the first theatrical production as a young man, and she made an indelible impression on him. It was “Lady without Camellias” with Ada Rogovtseva in the lead role in the interpretation of Roman Viktyuk.
One of the first performances that Kobzar staged at the Nizhyn Theater was "Morphine" according to Bulgakov. And to this day, Alexander recalls this time with special warmth.
But the actor and director states that in the theater alone you will not earn money. In addition, the actors have the same rate there, despite the amount of work performed. At the same time, film actors get about the same amount per film day as they need to earn a month in the theater. These circumstances, of course, do not allow theater art these days to rise to its former height.
Favorite performances
The first performance, which caused a storm of emotions in Alexander Kobzar, was the play “These Free Butterflies”.
The actor got a role in it when he worked in the Donetsk Theater. And this role was the main one. He embodied on the stage the image of the blind musician Don, who spent all day locked up in his apartment and composed music. Hoping to get rid of his mother’s excessive custody, Donald moves to a rented apartment. It was there that he met the girl Jill - bright and liberated. From this moment begins their love story, which, unfortunately, ends with the death of the protagonist.
Already in Kiev, Kobzar gets his next role in the production of "Spectators are not allowed to play." In this performance, Alexander got the role of director Lloyd Dallas, whose actors behind the scenes of the theater arrange their own, “special” performance.
And, finally, one cannot fail to note the play “The Last Hero”, for which the actor received a prestigious award - “Kiev Pectoral”.
Awards
The director won twice the prestigious theater award "Kiev Pectoral." The first time he received it for his work in the play "The Last Hero". The next time the award went to Alexander in 2010 for directing the play “We Play Chonkin”.
Kobzar about his difficult character
The actor and director admits that sometimes it may not be so easy to work with him.
Leadership qualities make themselves felt. For example, if you can’t agree with the director during a performance on a certain issue, then Alexander cannot calm down for a long time until the issue is resolved in his favor.
Creative plans
Kobzar Alexander admits that he likes playing villains in the cinema and on the stage. Typically, these characters are better written by scriptwriters. Therefore, in the future he plans to play more than one negative character.
Alexander likes to work with such directors as Zaza Buadze, Oles Sanin, Oleg Turansky, Volodya Lert, Taras Tkachenko and Sergey Chekalov. And in the future he plans to meet with them on the stage more than once.
Recently, the actor and director have a desire to create a creative tandem with Radu Poklitaru. True, Alexander Kobzar does not yet know how this venture can be realized. Poklitaru is best known for masterfully creating theatrical choreographic miniatures.
In an interview, Alexander Kobzar admits that he does not like dictatorial directors, but respects those who leave the actor a little creative freedom. Moreover, working moments already cause a lot of emotions, so it is important to help the actor open up, and not turn him into a puppet.
The long-standing dream of Alexander Kobzar is to devote himself entirely only to directing. But so far, he has not been able to do this.
Alexander Kobzar: personal life
Alexander's wife is also an actress. He met her when he studied at the acting department at the Institute. Karpenko-Kary. Together they went to conquer the stage of the Donetsk Theater in the early 2000s. Then they returned to Kiev together.
Kobzar Alexander has a daughter, Varvara, and a son, Prokhor. So far, none of the children shows interest in theatrical art.
