Treatment of acute bronchitis

Acute bronchitis is a process of inflammation of the airways, which occurs as a result of a variety of causes. These include the following factors: viruses, inspection pathogens, physical, chemical or allergic factors.

The following symptoms are inherent in the disease: lowering body temperature, sharp fluctuations in body temperature, complications can give a long period of stay in a state of high humidity. In connection with these signs, the disease gains the maximum number of cases in the autumn and spring. Persons who have foci of chronic infection in the nasopharynx, for example, rhinitis, sinusitis or sinusitis, are prone to acute bronchitis. Often acute bronchitis in children can occur against the background of diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, acute respiratory infections and others. Treatment of acute bronchitis may not be most effective if the patient during treatment will smoke, drink alcohol or take drugs.

In most cases, acute bronchitis is preceded by a common cold, hoarseness, cough, sore throat. After this period, a general malaise of the body, pain in the back, muscles, and body temperature rises. The initial symptom of bronchitis can be a cough, and usually at the beginning it is dry and very painful, and then there are attacks, then bronchospasm. On the third or fourth day, the cough contains a departed mucopurulent sputum, and the cough itself becomes not so dry and painful. If coughing attacks become prolonged, then headache, nausea and dizziness are not ruled out.

The overall clinical picture of the disease is as follows: the disease can be divided into three phases. The first is a dry and painful cough, the second phase is intoxication (expectoration of sputum) and the third phase is the restoration of the respiratory tract. Depending on the general immunity of a person, the activity of microflora, the disease can occur in mild, moderate and acute - severe form.

Treatment of acute bronchitis should be as effective as possible and aimed at combating viral disease, restoring all the functions of the airways. In most cases, treatment of acute bronchitis in adults involves a decrease in the activity of the microbial flora due to strong antibiotics. In this case, these are sulfonamides or their combination with vitamins of the groups β€œA”, β€œC” and β€œB”.

But antibiotics are not able to fully eliminate bronchospasm and restore all the functions of the airways. To improve bronchial conduction, drugs that expand the bronchi are used. Such drugs include aminophylline, isadrine, ephedrine and many others. Especially in the early days of the disease, positive results can be achieved if the treatment of acute bronchitis consists of mustard plasters, cans, hot foot baths. To alleviate coughing, use alkali-based inhalations. Treatment of bronchitis in adults and in children should include a plentiful hot drink, especially hot milk with Borjomi or soda.

Treatment of acute bronchitis will be most effective if it involves the use of fees or herbs, as well as vitamin complexes that have an expectorant, antipyretic effect. As a rule, acute bronchitis is treated at home under the strict supervision of a doctor, but if the patient does not feel better and there is no progress, then, accordingly, the patient is hospitalized. With timely treatment, no negative consequences in the form of pneumonia should arise.

In any case, you do not need to be treated independently if you do not understand this. The option β€œpass by itself” will not work either.
