Michael Morbius is a character in the Marvel universe created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane. In the opposition of good and evil, he takes a neutral position. And because of the healing features of their blood, it often becomes the target of both heroes and villains.
Biography
Michael was born in Greece, in the city of Nafplion. From childhood, he lived with his mother, the owner of a bookstore. The guy has never seen his father, Macarius Morbius, a famous artist and director. But Michael was not up to it, he had other problems. The guy suffered from a rare and fatal disease, one of the symptoms of which was intolerance to daylight, so he almost always stayed at home. He only ran away at night to play with his only friend - Emil Nikos.
When young people grew up and went to college, both of them chose a biochemical faculty in the hope of someday creating a cure for Michael's disease. Having received the first positive results, friends got on a yacht and went to sea to conduct an unusual experiment there, including electroshock therapy and the use of bat DNA. Everything went smoothly. Well, or almost everything. Michael Morbius was cured, but side effects made him a monster - the skin turned white, fangs and claws grew, and a thirst for blood appeared. In general, he became a vampire.

Failures happen - and that's a fact. Well, who, if not Mr. Morbius, should know this. But everywhere you need to look for positive aspects. Yes, he became a bloodthirsty, aggressive, out-of-control creature, but what he eventually acquired.
Although Morbius is not a hereditary vampire, but just a victim of an experiment, he inherited most of their features. Firstly, Morbius has become stronger, faster and more resilient. His reflexes intensified and his feelings worsened. He perfectly sees in the dark and feels blood at a distance of several kilometers. And most importantly, calmly refers to aspen stakes, garlic and silver.
The fighting skills of Michael Morbius from Marvel are reinforced by the fangs and claws with which he bites and tears his victims apart. The ability to hypnosis allows you to manipulate creatures and people, and rapid regeneration makes it virtually invulnerable. But the fact that he is immortal did not mean that he could not be defeated.
First problems
So, becoming a vampire, Michael Morbius felt a strong thirst for blood. Having lost control, he attacked Emil and killed him. And then, on a ship passing by, he reached New York, there he found an abandoned hut and took refuge in it.
Dr. Kurt Connors once messed up something in his experiments, for which he suffered a cruel punishment - he turned into a Lizard. Since then, he unsuccessfully searched for medicine and did not even suspect that the antidote was waiting in his laboratory. Therefore, when he returned there, he was at first confused, but it was impossible to miss the opportunity. The only difficulty was that he did not know how to deal with such a powerful enemy.
Fortunately, a solution to the problem was already at the door. Spider-Man somehow got extra hands and, in order to get rid of them, decided to turn to the Lizard. Together they attacked the vampire. A fight broke out between them, as a result of which Morbius was defeated and lost part of his blood. He could not endure such impudence, so he vowed to himself someday to take revenge on Spider-Man.
Short-term healing
Not that he fulfilled this promise during his next meeting with Peter Parker, but he did derive some benefit from it. During the battle, Morbius was struck by lightning at the moment when he drank Spider's blood, and this deprived him of thirst. Michael didn’t really like being a villain, so he was glad of the chance to start a new, quiet life. He moved to Los Angeles, where he continued to do research work. There he met Jennifer Walters and even helped her with the medicine that controlled her transformation into the Hulk.
In turn, Jennifer, as a lawyer, represented him in court when he was accused of numerous murders. It was thanks to her that Michael Morbius was given only five years, and was released ahead of schedule for good behavior. That's just the end of the happy days. Thirst returned and began to torment him with even greater force. At one point, he was lucky and tracked down Spider-Man. But he did not have time to bite him, he was caught by Simon Stroud, an agent who had long hunted him. And Michael did not even resist, because he understood that most of his victims were innocent people.
Michael Morbius is a character with an uncertain position. Although, if he had not suffered from vampirism, then, probably, he would have managed without any casualties. Killing for him is not a way of entertainment, revenge or gaining power, he did it only in order to survive. But even in this case, he tried to do with less losses and constantly worked on creating a cure for his mutation.
