Of course, attendance at the stadium primarily depends on the quality of the game of your favorite team. And the better the team plays, the more fans come to the sports arena. But in this matter, the stadium’s comfort also plays an important role. Especially in connection with the approach of the 2018 World Cup, the comfort of sports arenas is given special attention. Many stadiums are being rebuilt, while others are undergoing major reconstruction. One of these arenas is the Krasnodar stadium "Kuban". The layout of sectors for spectators has changed several times during the stadium's existence. This happened every time after the next reconstruction of the sports arena. In order to find out how this happened, it is necessary to consider the history of this arena.
Stadium History
In mid-1960, the central arena of the city appeared in Krasnodar, which would later become the Kuban stadium. From the very beginning, it was designed as a universal sports arena with athletics tracks. The stadium "Kuban", the scheme of sectors of which distributed seats for spectators into four stands, which received their name from the cardinal points, was originally designed for twenty thousand seats. But due to the fact that in those days the places on it were not individual, as in current sports facilities, then in central matches it could accommodate up to twenty-five thousand fans.
Twenty years later, the first reconstruction takes place, and the builders again come to the Kuban stadium. The layout of sectors is changing dramatically. Sectors of the second tier appear. The north stand becomes the guest sector, and the south becomes a fan sector. After the reconstruction , the Kuban stadium already accommodates forty thousand fans according to plan. But in reality, especially in central matches, it fits much more.
Arena usage now
Currently, the stadium is the home arena of the Krasnodar football club and is one of the five largest in Russia. In addition, the stadium is of great importance for the teams that entered the spring stage of the European Cups, as it is the only large arena in the south of the country suitable for such competitions. Not as often as football fans of Krasnodar would like, matches of the Russian team were held at this stadium. The first such match was played in 2004 with the Estonian national team. These matches were held as part of the qualifying tournament of the World Cup. This stadium also made a great contribution to the victory of the Moscow army in the UEFA Cup in the spring of 2005, when the stadium became the home arena of CSKA for two winter matches.
Placement of sectors in the stadium
The Kuban stadium, the layout of the sectors of which is given below, is currently one of the most visited football arenas in Russia.
And currently, the Krasnodar football club , which is currently playing in this stadium, holds the fourth and fifth places in the Russian football championship. The cozy stadium Kuban contributes to this success of the team. The sectors, the diagram of which is shown above, are arranged in such a way that it is convenient for the audience to watch the match. As already mentioned above, to ensure the safety of the match, the fan and guest sectors are divided into opposite stands.
Future stadium
Although the stadium is not involved in the 2018 World Cup, its next reconstruction will begin after this championship. The reconstruction plan has been approved and the stadium will look like the one shown in the photo.
This reconstruction will bring great changes to the Kuban stadium. The scheme with seats for spectators in the future arena will appear later, but we can be sure of one thing - football lovers will be even more comfortable here.
