Hemophilus officinalis: such beneficial properties of the herb!

Medicinal hemophilus is a herbaceous plant up to 1 m high, with a thick root and a straight branching stalk about 60 cm high at the top. The plant is also known by the names of gardener, calf, hernia, twig, button, black grass, wild mountain ash, cones and owl grass.

The common hemorrhage is common in the Far East, Siberia, and the Urals; it is also found in European countries of the former USSR, in the Caucasus and in the Crimea, East Kazakhstan, and Central Asia.

Hemophilus herb: chemical composition

In medicine, roots with rhizomes collected during the flowering of a plant are used.

Rhizomes of the hemophilia contain approximately 13% of tannins belonging to the pyrogallic group, and in the roots the content of the same substances reaches 21%. In addition, the roots contain acids: oxalic, gallic and ellagic. However, this is not the whole list of elements in the root of the hemophilus. There are also starch, sterols, pigments, vitamin C, gallotanides, essential oil, saponins, calcium oxalate, carotene. And the leaves of the hemoptysis contain essential oil and approximately 2% ascorbic acid.

Hemophilus officinalis: medicinal and healing properties of a plant

Since the plant contains tannins in large quantities, this means that it has pronounced anti-inflammatory and bactericidal and analgesic properties.

A decoction of rhizomes with roots, as well as a liquid extract of the plant, is used as an excellent astringent and hemostatic medicine for intestinal and gastric diseases (hemorrhoids, diarrhea, flatulence, enterocolitis, cholecystitis, dysentery), uterine bleeding, too heavy menstruation, uterine fibroids and hemoptysis.

A decoction from its rhizomes adversely affects fungi of the genus Giardia and Candida, Trichomonas.

A medicinal hemorrhage is used in dentistry for gingivitis and stomatitis, and also as an excellent expectorant and astringent for diseases and inflammation of the upper respiratory tract (including tonsillitis), and scurvy.

A decoction of a hemophilus is externally used for washing cuts, abrasions, wounds, ulcers, and also for douching with colpitis or cervical erosion.

Decoctions of rhizomes and roots are prepared as follows: 2 tablespoons of raw materials (roots and rhizomes) are poured 200 g of boiling water, covered with a lid and heated for half an hour, then cooled, drained, and the raw material is squeezed, after which the resulting infusion is brought to its original volume using boiled water. Store the prepared preparation in a cool place for no more than 2 days.

Studies have shown that topical application of the extract of the hemoptysis has a vasoconstrictor effect, and when ingested it inhibits intestinal motility. The antiseptic effect of the plant in relation to Escherichia coli is known and less pronounced to dysenteric, typhoid and paratyphoid bacilli.

In folk medicine, a hemoptysis is often used for poisoning, dyspepsia, with prolapse or inflammation of the rectum, bronchitis and flu.

Positive results were also noted in the use of a hemoptysis in case of inflammation of the kidneys with hematuria (blood in the urine), pulmonary hemorrhages, and a bleeding stomach ulcer.

The hemoptysis is used for hypertension, cervical erosion, breast cancer, bruises, bedsores, laryngitis, ulcers.

Its strong broth is used for inflammatory skin diseases.

Very often hemorrhage is used for convulsions and urinary retention.

Hemophilia preparations are used for ear diseases, conjunctivitis, and also as an anthelmintic.

Often the plant is used for headaches and tuberculosis.

Externally, a hemoptysis is used for long healing wounds, burns.

In what types can a hemoptysis be used for diseases, disorders and ailments of the body?

If you have gastrogenic and intoxication diarrhea, enterocolitis, heavy periods, tuberculosis, tonsillitis, headache, then the plant is used in the form of liquid extracts or decoctions. They also have a hemostatic effect in renal, intestinal, gastric or uterine bleeding.

With gingivitis or stomatitis, a hemoptysis drug is taken in the form of rinses. External use - in the form of an extract, decoctions and powder (for example, for wound healing), for lubricating gums.

Hemophilus: contraindications.

Usually, in therapeutic doses, preparations from the hemoptysis do not give side effects. But during pregnancy, their use is undesirable.
