The composition “What I want to become” is often asked to primary school students. And not only the goal is pursued here to increase literacy and develop the ability to express one's thoughts correctly. Writing such a work is a great opportunity for students to reflect on a given topic.
Structure
It is important to know that the essay “What I want to become” is a work that, like any other essay, has a structure. It must be adhered to. Of course, for high school students it looks pretty detailed: topic, epigraph, introduction, content, theses, arguments, conclusion, conclusions and author's opinion. Pupils in elementary school need only follow the three-part form. This is an introduction, content and conclusion. Before starting work, you can write a short plan - so as not to forget anything. It will be easier.
Introduction and conclusion occupy about 30 percent of all work. 70% is all the main part, content. In principle, this is all that a primary school student needs to know.
Introduction
The introduction should cover the topic, and also set the reader to familiarize themselves with further text. The work “What I want to become” can be started as follows: “The question of choosing future activities is very serious. Someone has not yet decided what they will do in the future, others have already decided. I belong to the second. Of course, it’s too early to talk about anything, because my opinion may still change. But I would love to be a veterinarian. This is a very noble and rewarding profession. ” On these lines it is quite possible to finish and go to the content.
The opposite option would be: “The choice of further activities is a very responsible decision. I understand this, and do not yet know who I will be in the future. Maybe a teacher. Or a doctor. Or maybe I’ll start doing engineering. It will turn out to give the exact answer to this question over time. All that remains is to choose. ” Such an entry is also quite enough. The main idea will be presented in the next, main part.
Content
What to write next? How to expand the idea in such a work as the essay “What do I want to become”? In fact, this is an individual matter. Using the examples mentioned above, we can present a further possible course of development of the text. The continuation of the topic about the veterinarian might look something like this: “Why do I want to become one? First of all, I love animals. And I would like to help them. All animals are defenseless, and they have no one who could take care of them. If a person can deal with his own problems, then animals cannot. They are easy to offend and hurt. And I would very much like to treat them and save such dear lives of cats, dogs, birds and everyone else. ” Here, in principle, how can I continue the essay “I want to become a veterinarian”.
What is the second example? Its continuation may look like this: “I will choose a profession only when I am sure that this is exactly what I could do. A doctor is a responsibility. The teacher is worries and overwork. The astronaut is promising, but inaccessible. A scientist is something that takes a lot of time. I do not know what would suit me. But I think that over time I will be able to make the right choice. ”
the end
And finally, the conclusion. Whether it is the essay “I want to become a teacher”, or some other essay, its end should be concise. A few sentences that will capture the essence of all of the above and put an end to this. We can end this: “The choice of a profession is important to make meaningfully. After all, in fact, this is what then you have to do all your life. Of course, many change their activities, but you have to relearn, re-gain experience. Therefore, it’s worth not to make such mistakes and be responsible for your choice. ”
That's basically it. The most important thing when writing an essay is to observe the structure and correctly express your thoughts. Then it will be the right job.
