Every angler must be able to attach the hook correctly. When wet, the knot from the fishing line should not be untied, nor should it be allowed to break.
The knot made in the form of a spiral spring most fully meets these requirements. They can snap a hook with a spatula and a ringlet. The tightened knot wraps tightly around the forearm of the hook with the fishing line pressed to it. There is no kink, which ensures the strength of their connection. If the spiral nodes are tightened and tied correctly, they look beautiful and neat.
Snap the hook using the locking loopThis can be done as follows. The fishing line must be attached to the forend of the hook itself, while 2 loops are formed sequentially. The first of them, ringlet and fishing line, hold in your fingers. In one row from left to right, wrap the fishing line tightly around the fore-end of the hook, making about ten turns.
The winding must be clamped with your fingers so that the turns are not tangled, and it does not loosen.
Gently pulling on the fishing line, reduce the first loop, insert the tip of the fishing line into it and tighten it tightly. At the same time, the tip of the fishing line must be locked so that the knot does not untie. It needs to be moved to the ring of the hook and rotated so that the fishing line comes out from the top of the site (from the tip of the hook). Tighten tightly. The free tip of the fishing line should be cut at a small distance from the locking loop.
This knot is very popular among anglers because no tools are required to tie it and many of them know how to tie a hook in this way.
With it, mormyshka are also quickly and easily tied. One drawback is that the end of the fishing line is directed from the forearm of the hook to the side, so it protrudes a couple of millimeters outside the loop of the knot, which can interfere with hooking.
Snap hook without locking loop
Such a spiral knot is tied with a sewing needle and an eye. The explanation is simple - you can stretch a fishing line into it. If you are interested in how to attach the hook correctly, - try this method, described in detail below.
The fishing line, needle and hook need to be folded together, holding fingers. For the needle, get the free end of the fishing line by winding several turns of it from right to left on the forend of the hook.
Between the fingers hold the winding in the form of a spiral. The tip of the fishing line must be inserted into the eye of the needle. Without reducing the pressure with your fingers, remove the needle from the winding by stretching the end of the fishing line inside the spiral. Seal the coils of this spiral, pulling the fishing line in turn, while ensuring that they are not mixed up. The finished unit must be moved to the hook ring, turning to the desired position.
Tighten knot completely. In this case, the free end of the fishing line must be cut at a small distance from the first turn of the spiral.
Its main advantage is the fact that in it the fishing line is pressed tightly to the forearm by turns and looks along the axis, therefore, it is practically not frayed during operation. The hook at the same time is a certain continuation of it.
These knots are suitable for tying those hooks where there is no spatula or ringlet. Often they are removed specifically to obtain inconspicuous gear. So that when tightening the knot from the fore-end does not slip, it must be well half-turned by notching a file with a file or a knife on the half-layer.
