Once upon a time, Emperor Alexander III named the two main allies of Russia: its army and navy. Today, he would add aviation, which was not there then, and he would get three kinds of troops.
The Russian army protects our Fatherland from threats from potential adversaries. Their organizational structure includes the types and types of troops. Such a management scheme is the most rational, it is proved by practice.
The armed forces of the Russian Federation are formed by three main types: ground forces, navy and aviation.
Infantry - the oldest type of troops. Today, ground troops have the most modern weapons: ultra-precise artillery, tanks, motorized and missile units, and air defense services.
Aviation also includes several births. It happens strategic (distant), transport, reconnaissance and army.
Fleet - it is the fleet, stronghold and power of the Russian state.
To a person who is ignorant of matters of strategy, everything is one: what species, what kind. However, there is a difference between them, and a significant one.
The military branch is an integral part of the type of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Its distinguishing feature is the action in some, expressed in poetic language, elements or, if simpler, in the environment. Based on this, each branch of the armed forces is armed with certain equipment. An example is naval aviation, which organizationally belongs to the fleet, and its aircraft are designed to support and protect their ships and counter aliens. Front-line aviation of the land army is also a branch of the armed forces.
In addition, each species has its own rear services. They also work in their element, because the army and navy must receive all kinds of allowances, fuel, components and much more on time. Some ignorant people regard the supply and rear services as a secondary structure, but this is by no means the case. The success of any military operation no less depends on its proper operation than on guns, missiles, tanks and aircraft.
And there is also a medical service, the role of which is difficult to overestimate in peacetime, and, God forbid, in wartime.
As a component of each type, there is also such a kind of troops as special forces. The most skillful and courageous servicemen, ready to perform particularly difficult and risky tasks, serve in it.
In addition, there are separate branches of the Russian Federation: Strategic Missile Forces (strategic missile forces), paratroopers and military-space defense. They are directly subordinate to the General Staff and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, that is, the President.
Strategic Rocket Forces carry out nuclear deterrence. Warheads located on the ships of the Russian fleet, including on submarine missile carriers, also serve this purpose.
Airborne troops are a mobile branch of the armed forces. It is designed to quickly respond to sudden threats to the country's security.
The military-space defense monitors the strategic objects of countries - potential opponents, using satellites in orbit.
In the Russian Army there is a unique type of troops - the railway. After the collapse of the USSR, it was abolished, but in 2004 it was restored again, they now obey the rear services.
Communications troops are special units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, their importance is so important that it is advisable to subordinate them to the General Staff.
