Many artists who graduated from the Yekaterinburg Theater Institute, founded during the war years in the then Sverdlovsk, are known throughout the country. Childhood
Alexey Zubarev was born in the mid-fifties in the ancient Siberian city of Novokuznetsk, which since tsarist times has been the center of metallurgy and coal mining in Russia.
Alexey’s family was musical, famous for songs under the button accordion, not a single celebration was complete without them. Since childhood, the boy used to be in the spotlight. Immediately after leaving school, he left his native Novosibirsk and went to study to be an artist in Sverdlovsk.
Theatrical career
Like many actors, Alexey Zubarev began his career on the theatrical stage of a provincial city, namely Izhevsk. At various times he worked in Moldova, in Chisinau. Alexei has a very unusual appearance, thanks to which he succeeds in biblical roles and images of the Middle Ages.
In 1978, he moved to the cultural capital of Russia and began serving at the Leningrad Comedy Theater named after N.P. Akimov. Then there were the Lensovet Theater and on the Fontanka.
At the Comedy Theater, Alexei began to look after actress Angelica Sergeevna Nevolina, who became his wife. Angelica is eight years younger than her spouse. She was born in the creative family of the actress of the Leningrad Philharmonic in 1962. After graduating from the Leningrad Institute of Theater and Cinema in 1983, she came to the Comedy Theater.
Alexey Zubarev in the early nineties began his career at the Maly Drama Theater of St. Petersburg. His best works:
- Dion in The Winter's Tale;
- Serbinov in Chevengur;
- Duke of Burgundy in King Lear.
Today, on the stage of the MDT, Alexei Zubarev can be seen in the play "All Days and Nights" based on the play by Margaret Garpe. He plays the role of Martin - Christa's first husband.

In the movie, Alexey Zubarev began acting in the mid-eighties. His first film - “I will do justice”, in which he starred in 1985. Now on his account about sixty works in films and series. He played the best roles in such films:
