Hand-drawn cartoon tale of 1938
In 1938, the creative duet of directors Panteleimon Sazonov, famous for the cartoon “The Quartet” of 1935, and Vlad Bochkarev (“Crocodile Films”) created a real masterpiece of animation called “The Tale of Emelya”. Unfortunately, the actors involved in the voice acting of the cartoon are not indicated in the credits. The project has become public domain.
The plot of the Russian folk tale was practically unchanged. The authors made adjustments only to the final events. In Sazonov and Bochkarev, the hero meets the royal "motorcade", overtakes him, thereby leading the autocrat to anger.
Here Emelya lies on the stove and does not at all pretend to the heart of the princess. With the help of a spell, he only dares the royal guard from his hut.
1938 feature film
In the same year, the fairy tale about Emelya on the stove is filmed by the greatest Soviet director-storyteller Alexander Rowe. He removes the full-length black-and-white feature film "By the Pike Command". The film was based on the play of the same name by playwright E. Tarakhovskaya and was created at the Soyuzdetfilm film studio. The plot of the picture, to one extent or another, combined the motives of three Russian fairy tales: “By the pike command”, “Tsarevna Nesmeyana”, “Dance accordion”.
In the center of the story - Emelya, oven, pike, King Gorokh and his spoiled daughter Nesmeyana. Tired of the vagaries of his daughter, the sovereign promises to marry her to someone who can make her laugh. Emelya manages to do this, but the king orders the man to be expelled from the palace. The princess in love runs away with him.
Cartoon "In a Kingdom" (1957)
After 20 years, the directors I. Ivanov-Vano and M. Botov at the Soyuzmultfilm movie studio create a hand-drawn story based on the fairy tale “By the Pike Commandment”. The classic plot is again subjected to author's interpretation. The overseas prince rides in a carriage to marry the Russian princess. At this time, Emelya goes to the stove for firewood. Their paths intersect. After the collision of the indicated means of transportation, the carriage with the whole crew and passengers capsizes. Emelya accidentally finds a portrait of Princess Marya, who fell out of the carriage, and wants the girl to love him. Naturally, the prince remains out of work, and the annoyed king locks his daughter in a tower. At this time, the general leads Emelya to the palace. And Marya chooses a simple man, not an overseas prince. The outcast admirer declares war, but Emelya defeats the enemy army with a spell. Marya, leaving the palace, leaves with the hero, they live happily ever after.
1970 Puppet Cartoon
The first puppet project of the creative association “Ekran” is the brainchild of V. Pekar and V. Popov, entitled “By the Pike Command”. The cartoon was created on the basis of a play by the Kalinin Puppet Theater based on the play by E. Tarakhovskaya. In the center of the narrative is the cowardly king Gorokh and his daughter Nesmeyana, who toppled with boredom in her room. The king promises to give her as a wife to someone who makes a capricious damsel laugh. Emelya arrives on the stove. The princess laughs, and the lord drives away the peasant. But Nesmeyana escapes with her lover.
1984 Cartoon Project
About the heroes familiar to everyone from childhood by the director V. Fomin, another cartoon was shot according to the script of A. Timofeevsky. In addition to the main characters, a starling and a magic ring presented by a young pike are introduced into the story. The plot begins with an acquaintance with the lazy Emely, who accidentally meets a stray Marya Tsarevna in the woods who is hiding from her nannies. Young people fall in love with each other. Emele no longer lies on the stove, and he goes to the palace on it. The young man, by order of the king, is put in a barrel and thrown into the sea. The inconsolable princess mourns her lover, but then the starling brings her a magic ring. Mary wants to return Emelya, and together they run away from the palace on the stove.
