The times of knightly courage, courage and nobility are long gone. But it is in our power to revive the spirit of the heroic Middle Ages in very young boys today. It is for this that it is necessary to organize a knightly tournament in the school of history. School Knight Tournament: Scenario
It should be noted right away that the course of the tournament for students in grades 1–2 and 3–4 must necessarily differ. Indeed, due to their physiological and mental capabilities, elementary school children may not be able to cope with any task, and older children may find it too easy. In both cases, the result will be the same: the children will not like the tournament, and the pedagogical task will not be completed.
However, the general plan for holding such an event is the same for different age groups. The tournament requires a host, 10-20 boys to form two teams, props and prizes.
The prize can be cards that are made at home by girls; they should be awarded to all participants. Also, all young knights can be presented with commemorative badges. The team that won the tournament can be awarded a sweet prize and small symbolic souvenirs.

A step-by-step plan for holding a knightly tournament at school can look like this:
- Spectators are invited to the room where the competition is held.
- They are followed by smart girls who occupy separate places.

Competitions for first graders
For absolutely any age group, you can hold a knightly tournament at school. Grade 1 can take part in the following competitions:
- Frisky stallion. Before the start of the competition, the facilitator sets up obstacles, for example, 5-liter water bottles decorated with stones. The task of the knights is to ride the snake on the fitball among the stones in one direction, and return back to the start of the start in a straight line. Those knights who were able to overcome all obstacles in less time are victorious.
- The sword is my friend. For this competition, you will need several balloons filled with air, and two swords, or objects that imitate them. The presenter sets two chairs at a certain distance from the teams, the boys queue up one after another. The task of the tournament participants is to reach the chair as quickly as possible, run around it and return. At the same time, every young knight must throw a balloon into the air with the help of a sword, thus overcoming the entire distance. The team that cope with the task faster wins.
- Memory check. The presenter clarifies with the children whether they know who these knights are. After receiving a positive answer, she offers to answer the teams a few questions. Those participants in the jousting tournament at school who win the correct answer faster than others will win.
- Salvation of beautiful ladies. The host leads the children in different directions and gives each representative of the team 2 gymnastic rings. The task of the knights is to pave the way from the hoops to the beautiful ladies who are in captivity. How does this happen? The child puts the hula hoop on the floor and steps in the center of it. After that, he puts the next hoop in front of him in such a way that you can step into it. The first gymnastic ring rises and moves on. Thus, the young knight gets to the nearest lady, touches her hand, and with two hoops runs back to the team. Knights who win faster than rivals get to girls win.
- Victory dance. After the release of the beautiful ladies, a holiday comes, and the host invites the knights to choose a mate for the dance. Be sure to make sure in advance that there is one girl for each boy. If there are not enough ladies or gentlemen, then the child can invite relatives of the opposite sex present in the hall to the dance.

Competitions for Grade 4
The knightly tournament at school (4th grade) involves more complex tasks. For example, the host seats both teams at two tables facing each other. Each team on the table puts a sheet of paper on which the word "kindness" is written.
The task of the knights is to compose other short words from the original word in 1.5 minutes. After the allotted time, one representative from each team reads out the resulting words one by one. Those knights who were able to make up more words win.
And you can also hold the following contests:
- Checking gallantry, memory, mathematical abilities. Both teams continue to sit at the tables, and the presenter asks the participants a series of questions. The victory will be won by those knights who gain the most correct answers.
- Release of the lady from imprisonment. The host leads the knights to different ends of the room and gives each team 2 chairs. Tournament participants with their help should get to the girls as quickly as possible. How it's done? The child stands on a chair and moves the second chair in such a way that it is convenient for him to step over it. Then he takes the first one and moves him again. After the knight touches the hand of any lady, he walks with chairs back to the team and passes the baton to the next participant. Knights win, who get to girls faster.
- Fall into the abyss. It is very difficult to imagine a knightly tournament in a school that takes place without a tug of war. It is for this reason that the presenter puts something on the floor and invites both teams to the “barrier”. Children take the rope from both sides and, at the signal of the presenter, try to drag all the rival knights over the mark. Those boys who stood up for a lying object are considered to have fallen into the abyss and are eliminated. Those knights who managed to throw all rivals “off the cliff” win.
- The final dance. The presenter announces the last competition for the best dance. Boys invite girls, and the leader, summing up the behavior of the knights, determines the winners of the competition. Everything is taken into account: how gallantly was the knight able to invite his lady to the dance, how he led her back, did he thank her, etc.
