The script is based on a series of comics by Mark Verhaiden and Mike Richardson. The director of the picture knew perfectly the theory of chrono-science fiction and actively used its achievements, so the viewer will not once involuntarily see involuntary references to the classics of the genre. The advantage of the picture is that the action movie does not overshadow the plot. The script will not strike you with an exorbitant semantic load, however it is not primitive, it is at least interesting to observe the development of the plot. And the expected final battle of the hero Van Damme with the main antagonist causes the proper feelings and emotions, while the demonstrative battles of the Belgian fall right in place in periodically arising dangerous situations.

The action takes place in 2080 at an exhibition of ancient exhibits. The leading scientist preparing the exposition is attacked by a squad of cyborgs, they can’t kill Dr. Masterson, but the policeman’s wife, Kidd, dies. To take revenge, he sets off in 2020 after the same cyborgs who intend to kill the doctor in the past, while he is still a child. In addition to the beautiful visual part, the acting skills of the performers - Andy Lau, Bingbing Fan and Barbie Xu, skillfully staged fights and dizzying skirmishes are pleasing. This is a strong action movie, to the eyeballs saturated with battle scenes and action.
