It does not cause too loose stools and severe pain in the intestines. The Alexandrian leaf stimulates appetite well. It is also used as a component of anti-hemorrhoidal tea. Among the positive effects of this drug on the body, the effect of senna on the antitoxic and biliary functions of the liver should be noted.

The Alexandrian leaf, whose properties are determined by its chemical composition, contains a large number of anthraglycosides, sterols, flavonoids, organic acids and alkaloids. Senna contains magnesium, zinc, copper, calcium, potassium, selenium and other micro and macro elements. Cassia acutifolia is a perennial tropical plant (shrub, shrub) of the legume family. Its height reaches 1 m.

Alexandria leaf (properties and application)
Cassia has whole, lanceolate, spiky leaves. They are leathery and short-leaved. The leaves of this plant are complex, regular, paranormal, have up to 8 pairs of leaves. It is they that are the medicinal raw materials, popular in many countries of the world. The Alexandrian leaf blooms with yellow flowers collected in a brush (axillary inflorescences). Flowering occurs from June to August. Fruits (small beans with many seeds) ripen in late September. The homeland of this plant is considered to be the coast of the Red Sea, the Nile Valley and the Arabian Peninsula.

The Alexandria leaf should not be taken without consulting a physician, since it, like most traditional medicines, can cause a number of side effects. So, when applying dry senna extract, sharp abdominal pain, flatulence, and strong rumbling can occur. Although such phenomena are extremely rare and disappear after stopping the use of this drug, it is impossible to accept the Alexandrian leaf uncontrollably. With its long-term use, the organism is often accustomed to cassia preparations, which reduces its effectiveness.
