From personal experience: kanefron (drops). Instructions for use and other information

I know firsthand about the drug "Kanefron": a few months ago, the doctor prescribed it to my two-year-old daughter. It is clear that since there is a disease, it must be treated, but I want the treatment to be safe, because the child is still small.

What is “Kanefron” (drops - they were prescribed to us), I had absolutely no idea, so I wanted to learn more about “Kanefron”. Doctors and pharmacy workers sometimes forget that they are in front of a person without a medical education, and therefore most of the information coming from them, to put it mildly, does not reach the addressee. After reading the instructions, I decided to look for something else about the drug on the Internet.

Here's what I managed to find out by comparing all the facts I knew at that time.

"Kanefron" is used for kidney diseases, as well as diseases of the urinary tract. This is a phyto-drug, which is recognized as an effective tool by physicians in many countries. In Germany, it was first released in 1934, that is, more than seventy years ago. The composition of "Kanefron" includes centaury, lovage and rosemary. The components of the drug are able to have antispasmodic, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects on the genitourinary system, contribute to the normalization of the kidneys, have a diuretic effect.

What is the drug? "Kanefron" can be in the form of a dragee or a solution for oral administration (drops). The solution is a clear liquid with a tan tint.

According to the instructions, the drug is recommended for use as part of a comprehensive treatment of kidneys (for example, pyelonephritis) and chronic infections of the bladder (for example, cystitis), non-infectious chronic inflammatory processes in the kidneys (this may include interstitial nephritis, glomerulonephritis). It is indicated as a remedy that prevents the formation of urinary stones.

It has an antispasmodic effect, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and diuretic. Moreover, unlike synthetic diuretics, Kanefron acts more sparingly.

Adults should take 50 drops three times a day,

The doctor advised us to drink the drops with plenty of water, this is not in the instructions, but if you try Kanefron, you will understand that this is good advice. The drug has a bitter taste, so children can be diluted with other liquids.

"Kanefron" (drops): instructions for use. Special recommendations

The drug contains small doses of alcohol, therefore, patients with alcoholism, or those who have undergone anti-alcohol treatment, Kanefron should not be taken.

The use of the solution (drops) by pregnant women and women who are breast-feeding a child is possible only according to medical instructions.

During the reception of "Kanefron" you need to consume more fluids.

When using a bottle (when measuring out the required amount of medicine), it is recommended to keep it vertically.

Before use, the contents of the vial must be shaken.

The use of kanefron does not reduce the level of performance.

A possible side effect is an allergic reaction.

That, in fact, is all. I think that in any pharmacy you can find Kanefron (drops), the instructions are contained in each package, so you can draw the missing information yourself. As for us, we are happy to use it already for preventive purposes (on the recommendation of a doctor), the daughter even makes sure that her mother does not forget to give her medicine. Like this.
