The drug "Berlition", the instructions for which indicate its effectiveness in preventive therapy and treatment of alcoholic, diabetic polyneuropathy, as well as in the treatment of various liver diseases, is gaining more and more popularity. It is used to treat acute hepatitis of any genesis, chronic hepatitis, and cirrhosis.
This medicine is considered an effective hepatoprotector. It has a hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effect. In diabetics, this drug improves the level of pyruvic acid in the blood. It prevents the accumulation of glucose in blood vessels, the formation of glycosation products, normalizes endoneural blood flow, and stimulates the production of antioxidant substances (glutathione). It also improves peripheral nerve function.
Forms of the drug "Berlition" are:
- 300 PIECES - in ampoules with a solution for injection (12 ml);
- 300 oral - oral tablets;
- 300 - oral capsules;
- 600 PIECES - in ampoules the solution is concentrated (24 ml);
- 600 - oral capsules.
The chemical composition of the drug:
- the solution contains thioctic acid (300; 600 PIECES), water for injection ;
- tablets and capsules contain thioctic acid (300; 600 mg), medium chain triglycerides, sorbitol, titanium dioxide, amaranth, glycerin, gelatin, and solid fat.
The drug "Berlition" is a concentrate for infusion and dilution with a solution of 0.9% sodium chloride. The ampoule is diluted in 250 ml and the solution is administered intravenously for at least 30 minutes. The vial with the solution during administration is covered with a foil from exposure to light. In such conditions, it is suitable for use for another 6 hours. At the end of the course of infusion, they switch to taking tablets and capsules. The duration of therapy is 2 months. If necessary, a second course is prescribed, which is carried out six months later.
The drug "Berlition 300", instruction
Used with intramuscular injection (2 ml, constantly changing the injection zone). Course duration - 2-4 weeks. Intramuscular administration is supplemented with daily intake of 1-2 capsules or tablets. about 2 months.

Side effects: urticaria, rash, eczema, itchy skin, occasionally anaphylactic shock, heaviness in the head, dizziness, sweating, visual impairment, taste change, diplopia, convulsive syndrome, thrombocytopathy, thrombocytopenic purpura.
The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to its components, patients under 18 years of age, lactating and pregnant women. This drug is not prescribed when taking cisplatin, iron-containing drugs, magnesium, calcium. The solution for infusion is not prepared on sugar-containing solvents (glucose, fructose).
In case of an overdose, vomiting, headaches can be observed. The drug "Berlition", the instruction of which prohibits drinking alcohol when taking it, can cause severe intoxication under the influence of alcohol, accompanied by stupor, agitation, convulsions, hemolysis, shock, multiple organ failure.
This drug is stored in the dark at normal temperature: tablets and capsules - 2 years, solution and concentrate - 3 years.
