The process of cooking pies in the oven

  1. Pour the entire amount of dry yeast into the milk warmed up and cooled to room temperature. It cools to ensure that the yeast comfortably reproduces and releases a lot of gas for the splendor of the dough. In too hot or cold milk, yeast will not produce the desired effect.
  2. Add sugar and half the whole flour to the yeast mixture.
  3. After thoroughly mixing the resulting liquid, cover the dishes with a towel or napkin and wait until the sponge has risen.
  4. While the dough is being prepared and the yeast is waking up, beat eggs in a separate container (whites and yolks should be beaten separately) with butter and salt.
  5. Mix the egg and yeast mixture. Add the second part of flour and knead the dough. It should turn out smooth in texture and plastic in feel.
  6. Divide the resulting dough into small pieces (approximately 50 g). Each of them must be rolled out to a size of 0.3-0.5 cm.
  7. The filling should be prepared by this moment: the boiled eggs, cut into small cubes, are combined with salt and finely chopped greens.
  8. In the middle of each rolled piece of dough, a tablespoon of the filling is laid out. The edges of the onion and egg pie are plucked.
  9. Grease a baking sheet with oil so that the products do not stick or burn during baking. Put prepared semi-finished products with the seam down on the baking sheet. Grease on top with yolk, thoroughly whipped to a liquid consistency, so that the crust of pies acquires a golden hue.

  11. While the pies are infused, the oven warms up to 180 degrees. Place a baking sheet with dough products in a preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes.
