With the help of the drug “Reosorbilact”, blood circulation is improved and its total volume is normalized, the body is poisoned, and the organs are enriched with the necessary energy. This blood substitute is based on salts of substances important for the body - sodium, calcium, potassium, magnesium - and sorbitol, which makes it easy to administer the solution intravenously.
Drug characteristics
The drug "Reosorbilact" refers to plasma substituting and detoxifying agents. Available as an infusion solution for intravenous and jet administration dropwise. The medicine is packaged in 400 ml and 200 ml glass bottles or 250 or 500 ml containers.
The manufacturer of this crystalloid plasma substitute is the Ukrainian company Yuria Farm.
Active components of the solution
The medicine "Reosorbilact" refers to multicomponent agents based on natural electrolytes and energy carriers, selected in accordance with the composition of the blood plasma of a healthy person. The amount of substances is scheduled for 1 liter, indicated in grams. The composition includes:
- 19 g sodium lactate,
- 6 g of sodium chloride,
- 0.1 g of dry calcium chloride,
- 0.3 g of potassium chloride,
- 0.2 g dry magnesium chloride
- 60 g of sorbitol hexatomic alcohol.
The instructions also show in millimoles the number of individual ions of sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, the acid residue of chloride and lactic acid.
How does the medicine work?
The mechanism of action of the plasma-replacing drug is associated with the implementation of the rheological, anti-shock, detoxification, alkalizing function of the Reosorbilact solution. Instructions for use attribute the main pharmacotherapeutic role to its main components: sorbitol and sodium lactate. In the liver cells, sorbitol molecules initially form fructose, from which glucose is then obtained, and the end product is glycogen. During splitting, energy is generated from one part of sorbitol for important energy-intensive processes of the body, and glycogen is synthesized and deposited from another part. Under the action of an isotonic sorbitol solution , thrombosis decreases, microcirculation and blood flow through tissues improve.
Sodium lactate carries out a slow, without drastic changes in the hydrogen index, correction of increased acidity due to its inclusion in the metabolism of substances. Its anions are able to bind hydrogen ions and thereby reduce acidity. Half an hour after intravenous administration of sodium, lactate begins to exert its effect on the body.
The main extracellular cation is sodium ion. Its concentration determines the fluid content outside the cells.
With the help of a plasma-replacing agent, sodium chloride, toxins are removed and re-enriched with dehydrated cells in the body with water. The introduction of this salt normalizes the level of sodium and chlorine ions, disturbed by various pathological conditions, which restores homeostasis.
Using calcium chloride eliminates the lack of calcium. Its ions are involved in the transmission of impulses along nerve fibers, the reduction of skeletal and smooth muscle tissue, the formation of osteocytes in bone tissue, the coagulation of platelet blood cells, and regulate the activity of the heart muscle.
Under the influence of calcium ions, the ability of cells and vascular walls to pass various substances decreases, inflammatory processes are inhibited, and the body's resistance to pathogens increases due to increased phagocytosis.
Indications for use of the drug "Reosorbilact" are also due to the properties of potassium chloride. They are aimed at restoring the water-electrolyte balance, at reducing the heart rate and myocardial excitability. High doses of the solution slow down the pulse and the amplitude of contractions of the heart muscle, cause a moderate diuretic effect.
The action of potassium ions is directed to the conduction of impulses by nerve fibers, to increase the level of acetylcholine, and also contributes to the development of excitation in the sympathetic section of the autonomic part of the nervous system. Potassium normalizes the contraction of skeletal muscle fibers, eliminates muscular dystrophy and myasthenia gravis.
What does the drug Reosorbilact treat? What is it used for?
Due to the multicomponent nature of the solution and the wide functional activity of its constituents, the medicine is used for various pathological conditions. You can carry out monotherapy or complex treatment.
The drug “Reosorbilact” is introduced to normalize capillary circulation, for which it is used during traumatic, surgical, toxic, hemolytic and burn shock accompanying acute blood loss, burn diseases.
An effective solution for infectious diseases, to eliminate intoxication, exacerbation in chronic hepatitis.
It is used in sepsis, in preparation for operations or after surgical interventions.
The drug “Reosorbilact” recommends the use of the drug for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes for blood clots, thrombophlebitis, endarteritis, Raynaud’s disease, when it is necessary to improve arterial and venous blood circulation.
How to use
The medicine is intended for intravenous drip or jet administration. The amount of solution depends on the condition of the patient and can be 400-1500 ml.
From 600 to 1000 ml of the drug “Reosorbilact”, the instructions for use recommend using it during traumatic, burn, postoperative and hemolytic shock. This amount of solution is administered once, and if necessary, re-introduction is possible. They begin to apply the inkjet method, which over time is replaced by a drip method.
Chronic hepatitis is treated with a drip of 400 ml of solution, which corresponds to 7 ml per 1 kg of a person’s weight, with repeated use.
The state of acute blood loss requires the use of from 1500 to 1800 ml of the drug. The infusion is carried out on the way to a medical facility in a medical machine.
Before surgery or after surgery, a drip dose of 400 ml of the solution is used. The drug is administered once or within 5 days.
Thrombotic diseases of the circulatory system require the use of a drip of 8 to 10 ml of the drug per 1 kg of a person’s weight. The infusion is carried out up to 10 times, in a day.
Treating children
The solution "Reosorbilact" instructions for use allows you to enter the child's body, but for each age category uses its own dosage of the drug. Up to the age of six, a dose of 10 ml per each kg of the child’s weight is administered. From 6 to 12 years, use a dose that is two times less than for adults. Starting from the age of 12, the amount of the drug corresponds to the adult dosage.
Use by pregnant and lactating women
The use of the drug "Reosorbilact" during pregnancy and lactation is undesirable due to the lack of information about the effects on the body of the fetus and the baby.
Treatment features
During treatment, control of acid-base balance, the level of important ions in the blood, and the functioning of the liver are needed.
In case of gallstone or peptic ulcer, hemorrhagic colitis, impaired liver function, the drug is administered with extreme caution.
Simultaneous use with solutions containing phosphate or carbonate compounds is not allowed.
The solution is not used for dilution of other drugs.
Who is contraindicated in treatment
Not all patients are shown therapy with Reosorbilact solution. Its use is impossible:
- when the acid-base balance is shifted towards alkalization;
- with hemorrhage in the brain, acute blockage of a blood clot by a blood clot, insufficiency of the cardiovascular system, third degree arterial hypertension, as well as in cases where large volumes of fluid are harmful.
With increased sensitivity to the active components of the drug, you have to refuse treatment with this plasma substitute, so as not to cause severe allergic reactions.
Undesirable effects of use
Sometimes, from the administration of the Reosorbilact medication (intravenous solution), adverse reactions may occur that affect different parts of the body.
Disorders in the immune system are manifested by anaphylactic reactions, angioedema and elevated body temperature.
Changes in the work of the heart and vascular bed are associated with an increase or decrease in blood pressure, shortness of breath, an increase in the frequency of heart contractions to over 90 beats in 1 minute, and bluish coloration of the skin associated with insufficient blood supply in small capillaries.
Neurological disorders are also possible, characterized by tremors, headaches, dizziness, and general weakness.
Changes can affect the skin and subcutaneous tissue, manifest in the form of rashes, urticaria, itching.
Reviews
This medication has established itself as an excellent tool that can cope with the intoxication of the body, eliminate dehydration and normalize the electrolyte composition of the blood.
Sorbitol alcohol, which is part of the alcohol, when released, releases a significant amount of energy, which is used to maintain the patient’s weakened strength. In addition, the glycogen formed from it accumulates in the liver, which serves as a kind of source of glucose when it is lacking in the blood. That is why the medicine can be used for parenteral nutrition.
Many patients who have had to deal with plasma replacement treatment leave positive reviews about the Reosorbilact preparation. However, not all patients are able to determine and track how the solution affected their bodies, because this drug is often administered during emergency treatment of severe conditions. Only a doctor is able to determine how effective a plasma replacement drug has been in this critical situation in combination with other drugs.
Assessing the Reosorbilact solution, positive reviews are left by patients who were prescribed it for psoriasis as part of combination therapy. In this case, the medicine improved metabolic processes, eliminated toxins and, together with other medicines, helped to reduce the lesions. Patients notice that after a course of intravenous administration they have a lightness in the body and their body weight decreases.
The medicine helps restore vitality after debilitating diseases. For some patients, a single infusion is sufficient to eliminate severe poisoning.
What else does the drug treat?
Not all indications for use are described in the instructions attached to the Reosorbilact agent. Reviews of people about the benefits of the solution for hypotension indicate an improvement in condition, restoration of efficiency, the elimination of ringing in the head and flickering flies in the field of vision. Treatment occurs due to the normalization of arterial and venous circulation throughout the body. However, hypotension is not indicated in the indications for use. There are many more diseases in which plasma substitutes are used, but there is no information about them in the instructions.
This remedy cannot be prescribed on its own, only the attending physician can determine whether it is suitable for the patient or not, since there are certain contraindications in which undesirable consequences may arise during treatment with Reosorbilact solution.
