How to cook stewed cabbage with carrots? The recipe is extremely simple. Let's find out what you need for this:
- 600 g of cabbage;
- 2 carrots;
- 2 onions;
- 2 tbsp. l paste.
In addition, you will need vegetable oil for frying, and pepper, hops-suneli and salt are perfect as seasonings.
Cooking method
Rinse and chop the ingredients in advance before you start cooking stewed cabbage with onions and carrots.
Rinse the cabbage thoroughly. Remove unsuitable food sheets. Then chop it finely. Peel and rinse the carrots. Rub on a coarse grater. Peel a few onions from the husk, chop into thin half rings.
Heat the pan over a fire, season with vegetable oil. When it is warm, put the onion and passer until transparent. Stir onion periodically to fry on all sides and give aromatic juice. The onion should barely begin to blush, after which you can put carrots on it. After 3-5 minutes, when it comes to condition and carrots, lay out the cabbage. Pour it over 2/3 with water and leave to simmer on fire for 40 minutes under the lid.
After the specified time, add spices, salt, seasonings and leave to simmer for another 15 minutes without a lid, so that excess moisture evaporates.

Cabbage in a slow cooker
Let's cook cabbage with carrots, sweet peppers with dressing from tomato paste and sour cream in a slow cooker. Rich taste and indescribable aroma will win your heart. To prepare a delicious stewed cabbage with carrots, you will need:
- 12 tablespoons water;
- 0.6 kg of white cabbage;
- 250 gr carrots;
- 2 bell peppers;
- 6 tbsp sour cream;
- 3 tbsp tomato paste;
- 3 tbsp olive oil;
- 1 tsp salt.
Based on their own taste preferences, various spices can be added to the cabbage: pepper, paprika, bay leaf, suneli hops, dried herbs.
Cooking
Pour olive oil into the multicooker pan. Then switch it to frying mode for 15 minutes. While it is heating, peel the carrots. Rinse it thoroughly, dry it with paper towels and rub on a coarse grater. Put it in a slow cooker and sauté for 5 minutes until it starts to golden. Leave the lid open and stir the carrots periodically.
Rinse the cabbage, remove the damaged sheets and chop finely. Rinse pepper, remove seeds and veins. It must be cut into thin strips.
Add the ingredients to the carrots, then salt, put the spices and pour half the water. Stir the vegetables thoroughly and simmer them until the end of the timer. The cover must be closed.
After the timer beep, switch the multicooker to baking mode. If it is possible to adjust the time, then set the timer to 15 minutes.
Put 6 tablespoons of sour cream and 3 tomato paste for cabbage. Pour in the remaining water. Mix the vegetables thoroughly with dressing so that the paste is evenly distributed throughout the cabbage.
Close the lid and let it stew for 15 minutes.
