"Malachite green" - a drug that is used to treat aquarium fish. With it, you will save your pets from dermatomycosis, fin rot, invasive diseases that can be caused by simple parasites.
The preparation "Malachite Green" is used only for adult fish of the following species: swordsmen, guppies, mollies, pecilia, gourami, beachifera, barbs, heteroclituses, Arapirangian nanostomuses, heteromorphic analyzes, veil-tail and fur-coats. Treatment of aquarium fish of other species, especially those that do not have scales, must be carried out with other drugs. Or reduce the dose at least twice.
The drug is sold in 50 ml bottles. The active substance content is 10 mg. One bottle is designed for 100 liters of water. From this it follows that for each liter you will need to take 5 ml of solution. It is convenient to measure with a cap from the bottle, which contains just such a volume.
Before starting treatment, sick fish must be separated from healthy fish and put them in another aquarium. Thus, only fish caught in quarantine are processed. The procedure is carried out four times a day with a break of five hours. The first two days, solutions are prepared at the rate of 5 ml of the drug per 2 liters of water. In the next, third and fourth days, the solution is prepared in a slightly different way: 1.5 lira of water is taken per 5 ml of the drug. It should be noted that every day you need to make a new solution. So that malachite greens do not harm the fish, appropriate conditions must be created in the tank. Aeration should be provided, water temperature + 24-25º C.
If fish treatment is carried out in a common aquarium, then the Malachite Green product should be used together with copper sulfate, in a ratio of 5 ml: 5 drops. This amount is enough for 10 liters of water. The finished product, the amount of which is calculated on the volume of water in the aquarium, must be diluted with fresh water up to 250 ml. To do this, water must be allowed to settle for a day.
When the water with the solution is ready, it is divided into three equal parts and poured into the aquarium with an interval of 30 minutes. In this case, slowly mix the water. In no case should you pour the entire solution into water. This can lead to fish poisoning.
During treatment and treatment of the aquarium, the temperature of the water should be monitored. It should be no more than 28º C. In addition, it is necessary to get a biofilter, which can significantly reduce the concentration of the drug in water.
The above doses of the drug solution are added to the water every 7 days. The processing process can last about a month or more. During this time, most likely, there will be a need for water replacement and cleaning. In this case, after completion of this procedure, the concentration of the solution should be restored.
It is worth noting that the product "Malachite Green" refers to resistant dyes. The color of the water may persist for a long time. In order to accelerate the purification of water after treatment, activated carbon biofilters are used. They are able to quickly enough make the water in the aquarium transparent and clean.
