Royal potatoes in the oven are, in fact, a special kind of casserole. Recently, such a dish is very popular. According to the cooking technology, it is a potato baked with any meat, mushrooms or vegetables in the original filling. You can make such a yummy in many ways.
Potato with pork
For beginner housewives, you can advise the easiest option. In this case, the royal potatoes in the oven will be meat under a fur coat.
For its preparation you will need: 800 grams of potatoes, salt, 400 grams of pork, a tablespoon of finished mustard, 100 grams of fat sour cream, onion, 200 grams of cheese, pepper (ground) and dill.
Making potatoes royally in the oven is easy:
- First, the meat needs to be washed, dried with a napkin, and then cut it into slices of medium thickness. Each piece must be slightly beaten off, sprinkled with salt and pepper.
- Cut the onions in half rings, chop the cheese, preferably on a coarse grater, and chop the potatoes into thin slices.
- Treat the inside with oil.
- Distribute the meat along the perimeter, laying the pieces as tightly as possible to each other.
- Spread them with mustard and sprinkle with onions.
- Cover everything with a layer of potatoes.
- Salt and add a little pepper.
- Pour the products with sour cream.
- Cover the mold tightly with foil. Royal baked potatoes in the oven for 30 minutes. Inside, the temperature should already be about 180 degrees.
- After the time has passed, remove the foil, sprinkle the dish with grated cheese and hold it in the oven for about another quarter of an hour. This is necessary so that a pleasant golden crust forms on the surface.
Before serving the dish to the table, it should be abundantly sprinkled with chopped herbs.
Potato with minced meat and mushrooms
There are unforeseen situations when you want to cook some tasty dish, but the main ingredients are not enough for work. What to do in such a situation? For example, there is very little meat available or only minced meat. In this case, how to cook royal potatoes in the oven? The recipe can be slightly adjusted.
There is a very interesting option for which you will need: potatoes, minced meat, salt, mushrooms, egg, onions, milk (or cream), any seasonings and curry sauce. The quantity of products should be taken "by eye" as you like best.
The process itself consists of three stages:
- First you need to prepare the ingredients. Stuffing should be slightly salt and add seasonings to it. Peel the onion and gently cut into thin quarter-rings. Wash the mushrooms, crumble them with thin plates and lightly fry. Peel and cut the potatoes into slices. Beat the egg first with milk, and then add mayonnaise.
- To assemble the dish you will need a form. All prepared foods are laid out in layers in the following order: minced meat - onion - mushrooms - potatoes.
- The processing process includes two stages. First, the form should be covered with foil and sent for an hour to the oven for baking at a temperature of 190 degrees. Then comes the second stage. After time, the form must be removed and the foil removed from it. Pour the products with egg mass. After this, the dish should stand in the oven for another 10 minutes.
Now it remains only to transfer the baked mass to a wide dish and you can immediately serve it to the table.
Potato with chicken
You can also cook royal potatoes in the oven with chicken fillet. According to experts, with this component the dish turns out more tender and soft.
For work you will need: per gram of raw potato 400 grams of fillet, salt, onion, 200 grams of cheese, 50 grams of sunflower oil and a little ground pepper.
The technology for preparing such a dish is similar to the previous options:
- First you need to do meat. Fillet should be well beaten, pepper and coat with mayonnaise. Put the pieces in a plate with a slide and let them soak a little. Salt is not used at this stage.
- Onion cut into half rings.
- Chopped peeled potatoes in thin slices. During processing, they will bake faster.
- As a form, you can use an ordinary pan. It must first be greased with oil.
- Then lay all the products in a pan in layers. First comes the potato. It needs to be salted and sprinkled lightly with pepper. Next comes the meat. Pieces should lie tight to each other. Then you need to cover all this with onions, sprinkle with grated cheese and pour with mayonnaise.
- Bake in the oven at a temperature of 230 degrees for about 1 hour.
