Non-alcoholic beer: harm or benefit?

Most people who use non-alcoholic beer justify this by saying that it, unlike alcohol-containing drinks, does not have a harmful effect on the body. Is it true or is it just an advertising campaign to attract customers?

The composition of non-alcoholic beer is similar to a regular foamy drink. The drink contains both beneficial substances for the human body, represented by carbohydrates, proteins, microelements and vitamins, as well as health-damaging elements: foam stabilizers that cause diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and cardiovascular system. If the composition of non-alcoholic beer is completely identical to an ordinary drink, then what exactly is their difference? And the differences are only in the level of alcohol content: ordinary beer contains up to 15%, non-alcoholic beer up to 1.5%.

Non-alcoholic beer - harm or benefit?

The media very often flashes information that doctors and scientists have identified the benefits of non-alcoholic beer to the cardiovascular system. Scientists of the "land of the rising sun" concluded that the use of this drink can reduce the risk of developing cancer cells. They obtained similar conclusions by conducting an experiment on experimental mice, which were divided into two subgroups. Both subgroups of mice underwent an injection, which included very strong carcinogens (oncological neoplasms are formed under their influence). But the only difference was that the first subgroup of mice consumed ordinary water, while the second group - non-alcoholic beer. The results were overwhelming, mice that consumed non-alcoholic beer were much more immune to carcinogens than rodents drinking plain water.

But is non-alcoholic beer so useful? Of course not. Despite all the assurances of manufacturers that the consumption of this drink does not adversely affect the body, this is another myth. Firstly, the abuse of beer, even if it contains at least% alcohol content, is the main reason for the development of alcoholism. In many print media, one can see information that drinking beer prevents the spread of alcoholism among the population. In fact, beer alcoholism is much more serious than the abuse of stronger spirits.

The second negative consequence of the use of this drink is that in men the production of the hormone testosterone slows down . This leads to the fact that female hormones, which contribute to breast augmentation, and also inhibit libido, begin active in the body. Women who use non-alcoholic beer in their diets, on the contrary, suffer from an increased content of testosterone in the body, which causes growth in the male type of facial hair, impaired voice and the development of infertility.
