A distinctive feature of the style of the collective is the distance from the heroes of their songs. The group found success in 2009 after the appearance of the composition "A new song about the police."
For her time, she collected a record number of views on YouTube hosting among Russian teams. "Rabfak" is a group that is also the performer of the satirical song "Our madhouse votes for Putin." This composition was released in 2011 before the elections to the State Duma and brought the team even wider fame.

Boris Nemtsov, who was then the leader of the Parnassus party, described the song as “encouraging news.” The composition was warmly received by critics. The group was invited to a rally held on Bolotnaya Square in 2011, although the organizing committee had an ambiguous attitude towards the team.
Spontaneously, the group was nominated for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Our madhouse votes for Putin." Within three days, four thousand votes were cast for this idea. The group twice opened protest rallies in Bolotnaya Square. The team created a number of satirical songs dedicated to the events of winter 2011-2012.

Until 2010, the composition of the team was kept secret. The team did not give concerts. Its composition was notable for inconstancy. The project was periodically joined by musicians of several Moscow groups. The main work took place in Moscow. But the creative core of the project remained unchanged.
