the main characters

The plot of the film unfolds around the character of Endaltsev - Max and his adventures. Max Grebenkin works as an advertising agent. The boss Grebenkin, the director of the agency, was played in the film "Horoscope for Good Luck" by actor Gosha Kutsenko. The career of the protagonist does not develop too quickly, since he, although talented, is modest and shy. And the work of the advertiser is not at all the limit of his dreams, because in his heart he is an artist and hopes to someday paint. On the personal front, Max is also not going smoothly. The guy is hopelessly in love with the beautiful Margarita, representing a perfume company. Rita seems to Grebenkin to be inaccessible, and the situation is complicated by the fact that Max already has a girlfriend, spoiled and capricious Lena Karjakina. This role was perfectly played by Svetlana Khodchenkova, and Rita was played by the rising star of Russian cinema Anna Chipovskaya. Initially, Khodchenkova was approved for the role of Rita, but the actress preferred the negative character to the positive.

Confused completely, the hero decides to turn to the astrologer, whose role went to the actor Dmitry Nagiev in the film “Horoscope for Good Luck”. This character of Nagiyev turned out to be an ironic parody of himself and the canonical image of a fairy-tale gnome. The astrologer draws for Max the so-called happy horoscope. In it, for every thirty days extravagant and crazy tasks are painted, performing which Max will be able to achieve reciprocity from Rita. The astrologer also promised the hero that luck would accompany him in all matters.

At first, Grebenkin’s life really changes dramatically and things are going up. The hero quickly perked up, but one day everything is not going according to plan. The ill-wisher rewrites the magic horoscope, and the life of the protagonist begins to crumble before our eyes. But after all, “Horoscope for Good Luck” is a romantic comedy, therefore everything ends with the traditional ending for this genre.

The story of the film

Horoscope for good luck

The filmmakers, in preparation for the shooting, rightly decided that there is no city more romantic than St. Petersburg. And the script moved to the city on the Neva. Petersburgers who watched the film were surprised by the unexpected geography of the city, obtained through editing, but the creators of the picture explain such topographical discrepancies by artistic necessity.

The filming process took place right on the streets of the city, and passers-by were surprised by the sight of Dmitry Nagiyev, dressed in a green chromakey suit. Thanks to this costume, using the computer graphics created the image of a cartoon dwarf. It is interesting that only full-scale shooting took place in the Northern capital. All interior scenes - in the office, apartments, on a yacht - were shot in pavilions in Moscow.
