If you look at the trailer for the picture, it becomes obvious that its plot will not show anything new. Two opposites - the party-shaker party-goer Phil and the notorious workaholic Peter - gain almost superhuman ability to feel pain and other emotions of each other. Given the genre, one common thing will lead to many funny situations. Screenwriters Emil Nikoghosyan and Alexander Markin, who have comedic experience behind them, created the main characters as contradictory as possible. The director Georgy Malkov, previously noted with the film “Love in the Big City”, and the Enjoy Movies film studio, which allocated a large budget by average standards, had high hopes for “Mixed Feelings”, the actors of which were supposed to realize all their dreams.
Agree, with long preparation and hard-set goals, no one expected a failure. On the contrary, they whispered about the picture, waited for it, and in order not to allow it to be smashed to pieces, it was necessary to adequately show the aerobatics of domestic cinema. Therefore, remembering the scenario difference of the main characters, an important stage was the search for textured faces in “Mixed feelings”. Actors, if we look at the analogy, should have been complete opposites.
Hopes for success - in a variety!
Whether it was a success or not, audience reviews and critics' ratings could say. Which turned out to be very ambiguous. Before moving on to leading actors, it should be noted that all the actors in the film “Mixed Feelings” are selected harmoniously. Lively and funny, they complemented the picture with their game, diluting the on-screen action not only with the constant conflict of the main characters. Many viewers happily looked at Evelyn Bledans, who recently rarely filmed. Her image turned out to be bright, giving the plot a certain zest.

Once a famous singer from the 90s, Phil is popular thanks to one single song. Rather, it was in the past. Without leaving his favorite pastime, alas, he could not achieve more. But quite pleased with the work of the DJ, who is more seen as a real humiliation. Phil carefully conceals his inner throwing with his love of all the feminine. However, he retains the traditional clowning and can not do without vulgar jokes.
In portraying Peter's character, the scriptwriters created it in complete contrast with Phil. He turned out to be such a loser, having problems with girls because of his shyness. He is a pro at work, and replaces all failures with excessive workaholism. After he and Phil have the same feelings, they repeatedly check themselves for strength, play on each other's nerves (especially Phil), which they perceive as an unfortunate circumstance.

A resident of Comedy Club, an eternal parodist and mongrel, comedian Alexander Revva, who until recently shone in the films “Doubler” and “Easy at Mention,” was successfully selected for the role of Phil. Regardless of the viewer's attitude to this character, Revva played quite interestingly. Knowing the actor’s addiction to his alter ego and various reincarnations on the stage (Arthur Pirozhkov, grandmother), the audience was pleasantly surprised that he completely focused on the image of a slightly preoccupied macho, who, nevertheless, uses the role of Casanova in full. And Alexander Revva for the sake of filming repainted in a blonde.
Comparing Revva with Pavel Derevyanko, it is difficult to say who has more popularity. Derevianko played many different roles, he is rightly called the best actor of our time. From the drama “Leningrad” he confidently strides to the comedies “On the Sea!” and Tumbler. And now he is trying to make the image of Peter really memorable in order to avoid the template roles. In many ways, Petya is a victim of Phil's constant attacks, but bravely holds his face. The absolute merit of Derevyanko! Even in individual scenes, the actor manages to maintain equanimity of the spirit when you can fill up with laughter. In a word, the film “Mixed Feelings”, whose actors coped with the images perfectly, can boast of their harmony in the frame with the required scenario difference.

The endurance of the style, the uniform presentation of humor, the lack of pretense and passing scenes - these are the main components of the film “Mixed feelings”, the actors and roles of which were memorable thanks to the play of the charismatic duet of Revva and Derevyanko.
