His father, Rowan Chase, was a fairly well-known doctor of Czech origin.

When Robert was still small, dad abandoned his family, and the guy’s mother drank herself with grief. Growing up, Robert Chase could not forgive this father for a long time.

Despite disagreements with his parent, Robert followed in his father's footsteps and became a doctor. He received his education at the University of Sydney, choosing a rather popular resuscitation specialist in Australia.

The young man got into the diagnostic team of House thanks to the patronage of his father. Many fans believe that the motive that prompted Gregory House to satisfy Rowan Chase’s request was the diagnostician’s desire to observe the offspring of the medical luminary and annoy him if possible.

At first, Chase was the weakest in the medic on the team. But gradually he worked on himself and soon turned into an excellent doctor.

When in the 1st season, Dr. House had a conflict with the main investor of the clinic, Robert Chase betrayed him to save his place. Gregory forgave his subordinate, and when he became an involuntary culprit in the death of the patient, he defended him and was even temporarily suspended from the management of the department.

In the next two seasons, the details of the biography of this hero were gradually revealed. It turned out that earlier Chase studied at the Catholic seminary, but after he became disappointed and left. Also, in spite of his father’s betrayal, Chase loved him and hard suffered his death from cancer.

In episode 7 of season 2, Robert slept with work colleague Allison Cameron. And although at that time both considered this night a mistake, later this was the beginning of a serious romance.

Allison Cameron and Robert Chase

In Season 3 of Valentine's Day, Cameron suggested that Chase have a non-binding, sex-based relationship. He agreed, and for a long time they had a great time together. Later, Robert sincerely fell in love with a colleague and confessed to it, but Allison at that time was not ready to admit her feelings and broke up with him.

At the end of season 3, when Dr. Foreman decided to quit, House dismissed Chase in frustrated feelings. This situation forced Cameron to reconsider her attitude to her colleague, and realizing that she loves Robert, Allison left Princeton Plainsboro with him.

However, at the beginning of season 4, the lovers returned to the hospital, but now they worked in other departments. So, Robert Chase became a surgeon, and one of the best in Princeton Plainsboro.

Relations between the lovers gradually developed, and at the end of season 5 they got married.

Dr. Robert Chase

Unfortunately, Chase and Cameron's marriage did not last long. After House returned from the hospital and began to practice again, Robert, contrary to his wife's advice, wanted to return to his team. The reason was the murder committed by Dr. Chase.

The fact is that earlier the dictator of one African republic entered the hospital. Realizing that this person is already guilty of the deaths of thousands of innocent people and is not going to stop, Robert Chase falsified the results of his analyzes. Because of this, the wrong treatment was prescribed and the patient died. Having learned about this, Foreman and House helped a colleague hide his guilt, but the hero was very upset by what he had done.

Tormented by remorse, Chase began to drink a lot, and his wife suspected him of treason. He later confessed to her murder. Cameron tried to get him to quit Princeton Plainsboro and leave. However, Robert realized that, although they love each other, Allison does not understand him. Therefore, he opposed, and Cameron filed for divorce.

Further fate

Having divorced and returned to the House department, Dr. Robert Chase got to work with renewed vigor. In parallel, he began to have fleeting novels, which is why in one of the series he became a victim of a rally.
