Minced meat and zucchini cutlets cooked in a pan are ideal for mashed potatoes, pasta or spaghetti. Not a single member of your family will ever refuse such a hearty and delicious dinner. It will take you about 2 hours to cook this dish.
Cooking meatballs and zucchini cutlets : what you need
Prepare the necessary ingredients:
- lean beef - 200 g;
- low-fat pork - 200 g;
- medium onions - 3 pcs.;
- small young zucchini - 2 pcs.;
- large chicken egg - 1 pc.;
- leek and other fresh herbs - 1 bunch;
- paprika, salt and black pepper - add to the minced meat at your own discretion;
- thick tomato paste - 2-3 large spoons (optional);
- breadcrumbs - 200 g (for crumbling cutlets);
- Refined sunflower oil - 180 ml (for frying cutlets).
As a side dish, take pasta, spaghetti or potatoes.
Minced meat and zucchini cutlets can be made from any kind of meat. In this recipe, we decided to use 2 types: low-fat beef and pork. They need to be washed well, cleaned of films and other unnecessary elements, and then chopped in a meat grinder along with 3 medium heads of onions. Stuffing should be mixed well and immediately begin to prepare other components.
Vegetable processing
Zucchini patties with minced meat is best done using young zucchini with a soft peel. They should be washed, cleaned of the stalks, and then completely grated on a coarse grater. After this, the raw chopped vegetable should be attached to the meat, onions and mix thoroughly. To make minced meat and zucchini patties more aromatic and tasty, chopped leek and other greens, salt, one beaten chicken egg, paprika, black pepper and thick tomato paste (for color) should also be added to the bulk. Next, the mixture needs to be thoroughly mixed with your hands and proceed with the molding of semi-finished products.
Dish formation
Zucchini and minced meatballs are sculpted in exactly the same way as a similar dish of pure meat. To do this, you need to take 2 large spoons of the cooked mass in your hands, roll a ball from them, and then flatten to a thickness of 2 centimeters. When all the semi-finished products are ready, they must be crushed in breadcrumbs on all sides.
Heat treatment
Fry such a dish is required in a pan with a sufficient amount of sunflower oil. Before laying the patties on the surface, it is advisable to heat it a little. Up to 5 semi-finished products can be cooked in a pan at a time (depending on their size). It is also worth noting that during the heat treatment, such a product may slightly decrease in size, especially if fatty meat was used to form it. After all the patties are fried (on both sides), they must be placed in a deep bowl and presented hot to the guests.
