The drug "Heparin-Akrigel 1000" is an anticoagulant drug for external use with a slight decongestant, anti-inflammatory and antithrombotic action. The drug is a clear, colorless or slightly yellowish gel with a characteristic odor.

The active substance is heparin. Auxiliary components: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, trometamol, rectified ethyl alcohol, carbomer, nerolium oil, lavender oil, distilled water.

Heparin has an antithrombotic effect, relieves inflammation, improves microcirculation, accelerates tissue metabolism, due to which edema subsides, blood clots and bruises resolve.

The drug is produced in aluminum tubes, which are packed in cardboard boxes with instructions for use. The tube may contain 20, 30, 40, 50 grams of the drug.

The preparation โ€œHeparin-Akrigelโ€ is prescribed for superficial thrombophlebitis, edema and infiltrates in soft tissues, bruises of joints and soft tissues, injuries of joints and tendons, hemorrhoids, elephantiasis, subcutaneous hematomas, lymphangitis, superficial mastitis, hemorrhoidal vein thrombosis, superficial.

After application to the skin, heparin gel prevents thrombus formation, has a slight anti-inflammatory, local analgesic and antiexudative effect. Heparin reduces the activity of hyaluronidase, prevents the formation of thrombin.

At the same time, heparin penetrates poorly through intact skin, so the medicine does not have a systemic effect.

The drug is applied in a thin layer to the affected area and rubbed with care into the skin. The gel is taken at a rate of 3 cm per area of โ€‹โ€‹3 cm in diameter. Apply every day one to three times a day. The duration of use depends on the speed of healing. The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor. On average, the drug is applied to a sore spot from three to seven days until the lesions disappear completely.

You can not use the medicine "Heparin-Akrigel" at the same time as other local remedies. Heparin is not compatible with tetracycline antibiotics, antihistamines, anti-inflammatory non-steroid drugs.

The components of the gel are poorly absorbed, so the use of the gel does not lead to an overdose. Cases of overdose due to heparin are not described. Prolonged use of the drug can lead to the development of hemorrhagic processes. In this case, the drug is canceled and, if necessary, a 1% solution of protamine sulfate is prescribed .
