Sometimes you have to face problems for which you don’t know who to go to. It seems that there is nothing to the doctors, but they can’t figure it out on their own. Such issues include, it would seem, a minor nuisance - a black elbow. What to do with it? And is it not a sign of something more serious than a cosmetic defect?
Reason One: Thyroid
First, you really need to tackle the medical aspect. Because with some diseases, in particular, the thyroid gland, a symptom such as a black elbow can indeed be observed . What to do in this case, it is clear: to be treated. With the elimination of the cause, the consequences will also pass, including the sloppy appearance of the elbows.
The second reason: vitamin deficiency
If medical suspicions about the thyroid gland are not confirmed, it can be assumed that your body is experiencing vitamin deficiency. The lack of vitamins, in particular, A and E, also leads to the appearance of a black elbow. What to do in this situation is also easy to guess. After taking the course of the necessary multivitamins, your elbows will bounce back and stop scaring you and those around you with your appearance.
Reason Three: Hyperkeratosis
The third medical cause may be hyperkeratosis - thickening of the skin in those places that experience frequent and constant friction or pressure. Hyperkeratosis results in a black elbow. What to do to get rid of this disease? Baths! The elbows are well steamed in hot salt water (about a quarter of an hour), then dried (but not until completely dry) and a slice of lemon is placed on the skin. It is fixed first with polyethylene or parchment paper, and then with something warm. After another 15 minutes, everything is removed, the elbows are washed with cool water and smeared with cream. After several such procedures, the loci will become like a child!
Treat elbows
But if there are no health problems, and the elbows are still not aesthetic, then they need to be cared for. And the recipe for hyperkeratosis is quite suitable for a start, since he is also able to bleach black elbows (albeit not sick).
In many cases (if not all), the gloomy color of the elbows is accompanied by drying out of the skin. It needs to be softened, for which a napkin is taken, soaked in warmed vegetable oil (olive oil is preferred, but sunflower oil is also preferred) and applied to the right place. Cellophane film, insulation - and for two hours left alone.
Good for fighting with ugly hands and masks. In particular - from boiled potatoes, warm mixed with the same olive oil and honey. It is applied similarly to the previous advice, and after removal, the elbows should be massaged - exfoliated pieces of skin will disappear. Cream after the mask is required! Of course, you’ll have to tinker, but the black elbows will surely disappear.
How to treat them, our grandmothers also knew. They also got a method using yogurt (it can be replaced with cabbage juice or whey). From the liquid heated to body temperature, make baths for 20 minutes, after which fish oil should be rubbed into the elbows. The skin becomes soft and soft.
In general, the main thing is that health is normal, and it will be easy to cope with black elbows.
