Prune turkey

A turkey with prunes can decorate any holiday table.

We advise you to bake a turkey with prunes in the sleeve.

You will need:

  • turkey carcass;
  • 200 g butter;
  • a glass of pitted prunes;
  • a tablespoon of salt;
  • a teaspoon of pepper.

First you need to fill the prunes with boiled hot water so that it is slightly softened. Water needs to be drained, slightly dried prunes.

Freeze the oil in the refrigerator so that it is easily cut into pieces.

Rinse the turkey and dry a little with a paper towel, remove excess moisture from it.

Mix salt with pepper in a plate.

Then, with a sharp knife, make 3 cm deep cuts in the turkey pulp (so that prunes and a piece of oil fit in them). Notches should be as many as you have prune berries.

Then the turkey with prunes is placed on a baking sheet in an oven heated to 200C, and baked for about an hour and a half.

You will need:

  • 1 turkey;
  • a pound of carrots;
  • a piece of pig skin;
  • smoked brisket;
  • 250 g of prunes;
  • 100 g of small onions;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of brandy;
  • 50 g butter;
  • a glass of white wine;
  • fat;
  • a spoonful of vegetable oil;
  • greens, pepper, salt.

From prunes you need to remove the seeds and fill it with white wine. Leave the resulting mixture for two hours. At this time, you should chop the brisket, carrots, peel small onions. Turkey meat should be rolled up so that a regular, elongated shape is obtained. On both sides put thin slices of fat and bandage the entire structure with a thread.

Fry the turkey first, then the brisket. Now you need to put both one and the other in the oven.

At this time, brandy should be warmed up. It must be set on fire and poured on a turkey by burning, around which carrots and onions should be laid out. In addition, the dish needs to be salted, pepper, put the remaining pieces of butter on top of the turkey. Cover the frypot with a lid and place on the stove.

After some time, put the pork skin into the roasting pan, previously cut into two halves and rolled into a roll, add prunes and greens. Then we fill it all with wine and pour half a glass of water. The turkey with prunes is put back into the oven on medium heat for 40 minutes.

Before serving this dish on the table, do not forget to remove the threads from the turkey.

You will need:

  • 700 g of turkey breast meat;
  • 15 large prunes;
  • half a teaspoon of salt;
  • a pinch of paprika;
  • a little dry garlic;
  • 12 g of gelatin.

The fillet should be washed, dried, slightly cut and unfurled. Cover the turkey with cling film and carefully beat off with a culinary wooden hammer. In a bowl, mix the garlic, salt and paprika. Grate the meat with this mixture on both sides. Then, on one side, fill with gelatin, put the washed prunes in two rows on the edge and curl the meat tightly. Wrap the resulting roll with twine, then wrap in foil and put marinating in the refrigerator for 2 hours (it can take longer).

Then bake the roll in the oven for 70 minutes at a temperature of 180C. The finished roll must be cooled and refrigerated. Then remove the foil. Cut the roll into pieces, decorate with herbs and serve.
