The drug Concor

The drug Concor includes the active substance - bisoprolol hemifumarate. Auxiliary components are magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, crospovidone, anhydrous calcium hydrogen phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose. The medication is available in the form of tablets containing 5 and 10 mg of the active substance, film-coated.
The drug is included in the group of selective beta-blockers.

The drug Concor is prescribed for arterial hypertension, coronary heart disease, as well as heart failure (chronic).

Contraindications to taking the medication are cardiogenic shock, a state of decompensation in heart failure, the second and third degree of atrioventricular block. The drug Concor is also not prescribed for sick sinus syndrome, severe sinoatrial blockade of symptomatic bradycardia and symptomatic arterial hypotension. The drug is contraindicated in bronchial asthma, the presence of disturbances in peripheral circulation, untreated pheochromocytoma, metabolic acidosis. Concor during pregnancy and lactation is also not prescribed.

It is recommended to take 5 mg of the drug per day.

Tablets for pressure Concor (with a second degree of hypertension) can be prescribed in a dose of 2.5 mg. If necessary, an increase in the daily dosage to ten mg is permissible. An increase is permissible only on the recommendation of a doctor.

When prescribed to people with renal and hepatic impairment, the daily dosage of the medication should not exceed ten milligrams. At the same time, it should be selected individually.

The drug Concor is taken in the morning, regardless of food. Chew the medication should not be. It is necessary to wash down with a small volume of liquid.

As a rule, the therapeutic course is quite long, which is determined by the course and nature of the disease.

Abrupt withdrawal of the drug is not recommended. The course of therapy must be completed, gradually reducing the dosage.

Headaches and dizziness can be frequent as adverse reactions. Such manifestations are characteristic of the initial period of treatment. As a rule, they are slightly expressed and pass within two weeks.

In rare cases, taking the medication provokes depression and sleep disturbances, paresthesia, hallucinations, increased lacrimation, conjunctivitis, and hearing loss.

A frequent side effect is bradycardia (in patients with heart failure), a feeling of real estate and coldness in the limbs. In some cases, there may be a violation in atrioventricular conduction (with arterial hypertension and ischemic heart disease), as well as orthostatic hypotension.

In the presence of chronic obstructive airway diseases and bronchial asthma, bronchospasm is possible.

In rare cases, allergic rhinitis may occur.

From the gastrointestinal tract, frequent adverse reactions are constipation, vomiting, diarrhea, and vomiting.

In rare cases, taking the drug causes cramps, muscle weakness, skin rash, itching, excessive sweating, hair loss, impaired potency.

With caution, the medication is prescribed to people with diabetes, with desensitization, a strict diet.

Before starting therapy, it is necessary to conduct a study of the functions of external respiration for patients with bronchial asthma.

Beta-blockers are not recommended during surgery. This is due to an increased risk of myocardial ischemia and arrhythmias. If surgery is necessary, the dosage should be gradually reduced approximately forty-eight hours before general anesthesia.
