In the event that your baby does not have favorite characters, a treat can be made in the form of a Barbie doll (for girls) or a car (for boys).
How are cakes made of mastic for children?
Having decided to prepare an original and very beautiful dessert, many housewives are afraid that nothing will work out for them. However, it should be noted that mastic cake for children is made quite easily. The main thing at the same time is to show due creative imagination and comply with all the requirements of the recipe.
So what products are needed to make mastic cake for kids? Most often, such desserts are prepared using a biscuit base. To bake it, we need the following components:
- condensed milk - ½ jars;
- high fat sour cream - 175 g;
- raw large eggs - 4 pcs.;
- white sugar - 200 g;
- slaked soda or baking powder - incomplete dessert spoon;
- twice sifted flour - from 250 g (add at discretion);
- vegetable oil - 7 ml (to lubricate the bowl).

White egg yolks are ground together with granulated sugar. Then condensed milk and sour cream of high fat content are added to the ingredients. Mastic for the cake can be done in many ways. Someone uses milk powder for this, someone uses gelatin, and someone prefers to make it from marshmallows. We decided to use the latter option.
So, for the preparation of mastic we need:
- icing sugar - about 350 g;
- white or colorful marshmallows - about 170 g;
- dry cream - about 80 g;
- lemon juice - a large spoon;
- food colors - to obtain various colors;
- aromatic vanillin - on the tip of a knife.
The process of making mastic
To make mastic for the cake, fresh marshmallows are crushed, placed in a deep bowl, and then placed in the microwave. The sweet product is kept in it for 30 minutes. Then warmed marshmallows are thoroughly kneaded with a spoon. After that, it is mixed with dried cream, powdered sugar and vanilla. If necessary, the resulting mass is divided into separate portions and food coloring is added . In this composition, all the ingredients are thoroughly kneaded by hands until an elastic and supple mastic is formed, which ceases to stick to the hands.
Making cakes with mastic for children
Now you know how to easily and quickly make mastic for the cake. But this is not enough to beautifully cover the dessert with it. To do this, carefully mixed mastic is well rolled out on a flat board. So that it does not stick to the hands and the surface of the table, it is sprinkled with either cornmeal or powdered sugar. The mastic is rolled out with a rolling pin, like an ordinary dough. It should be borne in mind that it will cover not only the top of the dessert, but also all of its sides. Make the shape for a particular part a little more than necessary. Extra centimeters can then be cut off.
After the products of a certain color and size are ready, they are carefully laid out on a biscuit, greased with cream, and with little effort they are pressed with their palms to the surface of the cake. At the same time, try not to touch the mastic with your fingers. Otherwise, your fingerprints will remain on it.
