I myself really like to cook. On top of that, for some time now I started trying to cook various dishes in the microwave. According to experts, food cooked in the microwave is more wholesome and more delicious. But then the first disappointment awaited me, because I did not know at all how to cook chicken in the microwave.
Who do you think came to my rescue? Mom? Grandmother? No. It is unlikely that they could help me in how to bake chicken in the microwave. At the time of my grandmother, microwave ovens seemed just as fantastic as space monsters from the novels of Cyrus Bulychev. And my mother is a wonderful needlewoman, but she doesn’t really like to cook.
Therefore, I drove into the Google search engine the phrase "how to cook chicken in the microwave" and the all-knowing Internet gave me more than five dozen recommendations.
I was scared to study everything. Therefore, I chose some tips from the first page of the search engine and began to study them. The simplest, in my opinion, was a recipe using a baking sleeve. It turns out that if you do not know how to cook chicken in the microwave, it is best to do it in the sleeve.
To do this, you need to take a whole chicken carcass, rinse it thoroughly (if you take live chicken, you need to clean it from feathers and viscera), and then grate it with a mixture of salt, pepper and garlic (you can take dried) and put in a culinary sleeve. Then you need to release air from the sleeve and pinch it so that there is some airless space around the chicken carcass . After that, you need to put the chicken in the sleeve on the pallet and send it to the microwave. With an oven power of 300 watts, the bird will bake for approximately 30 minutes. After that, the chicken needs to be removed from the sleeve, and the resulting gravy can be watered with a side dish.
However, at least 30 minutes is not long, but there are still cases when guests are on the doorstep and the meat dish is not yet ready. Therefore, a further study of recommendations from Google on how to cook chicken in the microwave, came down to finding quick recipes. And I found one. Place in a glass dish (or in a dish designed for a microwave oven) chicken breasts (and you can also use fillets), pour a little vegetable oil on the bottom of the dish, add a little salt and put in the microwave for 5-7 minutes with an oven power of 900 - 1000 Tue After that, get the chicken, sprinkle with onion rings and slices of sour apple, pour tomato sauce or low-fat sour cream and cover with a lid, send in the microwave for another 5-7 minutes. The chicken in this case will turn out juicy and tender. By the way, this dish is very well suited for those who follow the figure. If desired, you can sprinkle the finished dish with grated and cheese and send it to the microwave for another minute, so that the cheese melts.
Chicken can be made piquant, after pickling it in ginger and garlic sauce with the addition of olive oil. You can pickle it in soy sauce with honey and spices. I even tried to coat the carcass of the chicken with Japanese wasabi mustard and bake in the sleeve in the microwave. The chicken turned out fragrant, tender and juicy.
My searches under the motto “How to Cook Chicken in the Microwave” came to an end when I wanted to find a recipe for cooking poultry in the microwave for my child. I found the answer pretty quickly. Rinse legs or wings (my child loves both). Pre-marinate in lemon-honey sauce (to do this, mix honey, lemon juice, salt and grate meat with this mixture), put in a sealed container (or sleeve) and bake for 10-15 minutes on an oven power of 800 - 900 W. Pull the meat from the sleeve and serve in the side dish.
Cooking meat dishes in the microwave has its advantages: no fat and bad cholesterol, meat is cooked in its juice. Now with the microwave I’m on “you”, and my family is very happy about it.
