Epigen Spray

Epigen spray is for topical use. The solution has a characteristic odor and is light yellow or light brown in color.

Epigen Spray is an antiviral drug with an immunostimulating property.

The active substance of the drug is activated glycyrrhizic acid , obtained from plant materials (licorice roots) by extraction. This component has antiviral, immunostimulating, anti-inflammatory, regenerative and antipruritic effects. Thus, a complex effect is achieved. The immunostimulating effect is due to an increase in the activity and number of T-lymphocytes, the concentration of A and M immunoglobulins and a decrease in the content of G-immunoglobulins.

One of the components of the antiviral activity of glycyrrhizic acid is its ability to induce the formation of interferon. In addition, it affects RNA and DNA viruses. The mechanism of action of glycyrrhizic acid is based on the interruption of their replication in the early stages, provoking the exit of the virion capsid. Thus, the possibility of its penetration into the cells is eliminated.

The anti-inflammatory properties of Epigen Spray are combined with stimulating activity in relation to humoral and cellular factors of immunity. The regenerating effect is due to an improvement in the repair of mucous membranes and skin.

Epigen spray. Application

The medication is indicated for papillomovirus, cytomegalovirus infection, herpes simplex virus of the first and second type. The drug is effective for preventive and therapeutic purposes to eliminate pathologies of the cervix, genital warts, provoked by the above lesions. Epigen spray, as a component of complex therapy, is indicated for conditions accompanied by a decrease in local immunity (including bacterial vaginosis, vulvovaginal candidiasis, as well as nonspecific colpitis). In addition, the use of the drug is indicated in order to eliminate discomfort in the genital area with the manifestation of itching, dryness and burning.

For external use, the spraying method on the affected surface is used. The distance should be about four to five centimeters. Spraying is done with one or two presses of the atomizer valve. This is considered the optimal dose.

For intravaginal administration of the drug, a special nozzle is used. The valve of the device is put on the cylinder. The nozzle is inserted into the vagina as a whole. The patient should be in a horizontal position on the back. Epigen spray is sprayed with one or two presses of the valve. After the procedure, you should linger in a supine position for five or ten minutes.

Epigen spray for men is applied by external spraying and the urethra is inserted into the external opening (with one or two presses of the valve).

For preventive purposes, the drug is used before and after intercourse to prevent viral infections transmitted through sexual contact.

Shake the bottle well before use. When spraying, keep it upright.

The use of the medication can cause allergic reactions (local). In rare cases, contact dermatitis occurs.

After using the nozzle, it must be washed with soap and running water.

Before using the drug, the affected areas can not be washed. Refusal to use the medication is made in case of manifestation of irritation of the mucous membranes or skin.
