Many of us are used to going to supermarkets and buying various food products. However, not everyone knows that the law of the Russian Federation establishes a special list of goods that are socially significant. You will learn about which products are included in this article.
What are essential products?
In 2009, the government of the Russian Federation approved a law according to which the sale of certain groups of food products should be regulated in accordance with legislative norms. In other words, the maximum allowable retail prices are set for the list of essential products . To date, the list includes 24 items. However, more recently, the list included 33 products, among which were some household items. But which essential products should always be in the house? We will talk about this in more detail.
Essential Products List
The list of socially significant goods includes the following items:
- Pork, beef, lamb, chicken (this item does not include boneless meat and chicken legs).
- Frozen fish.
- Butter and sunflower oil.
- Cow's drinking milk (from 2 to 3.2% fat content).
- Chicken eggs.
- Rye-wheat and rye bread, any bakery products from wheat flour.
- Edible salt and granulated sugar.
- Black tea.
- Wheat flour of the first and highest grade.
- Millet, polished rice, buckwheat (kernel).
- Pasta.
- Potatoes, onions, white cabbage, carrots.
- Apples
Thus, the list includes the most necessary products to ensure the full life of a citizen of our country. It can be concluded that products such as sweets, convenience foods or alcoholic beverages are only an addition. Therefore, you should not spend a significant part of your budget on them if you are determined to take control of your family’s expenses.
Prices for essential products
To date, the government regulates the value of the goods listed above. That is why the market price for them does not exceed acceptable standards. According to the law, the maximum allowable margin on essential food products should not exceed 15% of the cost of the manufacturer (or the first wholesale distributor). This allows you to make goods available to all categories of citizens.
In addition, in our country you can find many so-called social stores. On their shelves, a list of essential products is presented at the lowest prices. However, such goods are usually available for preferential categories of residents of Russia after presenting the relevant document. But ordinary citizens do not need to despair. Indeed, modern grocery supermarkets offer both elite and budget goods. Therefore, to purchase what is included in the list of essential products is not so problematic.
Household Essentials
Prior to amendments to the law, the list of goods also included some non-food items, including:
- Laundry and toilet soap.
- Detergents (synthetic).
- Toothbrushes and pastes.
- Male and female underwear.
- Razor blades.
- Lead pencils, ballpoint pens and student notebooks.
- Sewing threads and needles.
- Lighting lamps (25-60 W).
- Bed linen (pillowcases, duvet covers, sheets).
Thus, in the house of every resident of the country should be a complete list of products and essentials.
What else should always be in the house?
In addition to products and some household items, the house should always have a first aid kit in case of first aid. It should include the following drugs: iodine, green diamond ("green"), hydrogen peroxide, furatsilin, zinc ointment, activated carbon, validol, corvalol, ammonia, analgin, paracetamol, naphthyzine. As well as sterile bandages, plasters, cotton wool and a tourniquet. Remember that all medicines have their expiration dates. Therefore, regularly check your first-aid kit for the admissibility of taking pills and using ointments.
Saving your family budget
Today, you can afford to eat fully even with a minimum wage. After all, the list of essential products is available in any large supermarket. And since prices are regulated by certain government agencies, you can purchase a complete package for only 2 thousand rubles. At the same time, remember that it is not always worth paying attention to advertising. Today, very high-quality products without additives can cost several times cheaper than advertised brands whose ads can be watched daily on TV.
Many supermarkets often hold promotions that allow you to shop at great discounts. This may be due to the disposal of goods due to the expiration date, to which 1-2 weeks are left. But even such a product can be eaten, so this is another good reason to save. And some young manufacturers who are just entering the market specifically display their products at a low price. After all, this allows you to build up a customer base. So why not try out the new product while maintaining a good amount of money?
Saving a family budget is real. The main thing is to carefully study the price range for the list of essential products in your region.
